  Not a fan of Rowdy, but have you considered Rory? It sounds kinda similar, and is not a common first name, but its also not a verb describing noisy and riotous behaviour ;-)

  I really like the name Ryder because of the show Melissa and Joey

  Yep.  People do get judged by their names in the real world.  That has been shown in studies again and again.  And honestly, I think it's hard enough for boys in today's world where they have to sit still in school for hours, kids are getting diagnosed with behavioral problems right and left, etc., without having a name that literally labels them as a loud troublemaker right from the start.

  I'm saying that people are subconsciously influenced by preconceived notions and prejudices, so don't give your kid a name that sets up negative expectations from the beginning. 

  It's just you mentioned being diagnosed with behavioral problems and a diagnosis would come from a medical standpoint, so that's why I've asked.

  You guys are soooo unsupportive and uncreative.  Concert?  Really?  That's about as stupid as a man on a message board.  Rowdy just makes sense, because a baby should be about what the PARENTS do and who THEY are.  How will other kids know how awesome your kid's parents are if you don't tell them?!?!?

  Interesting that it is listed as a name people think means fun loving, name meanings are kinda subjective. Historically Jesse means gift, which in your situation @PregsMcSnoozalot‌ is also very appropriate!

  Im totally new here. But I say go with what you and DH want. Its not my style but I have got alot of negative comments about us naming our little guy Godric so I say for it.

  Lol!! She is definitely not a bad looking woman. I lost touch with her after freshman year of college, then found her on FB years later. Except I was expecting "him." So...it was pretty shocking!
