Let's talk about my boobs.

So here I am, sitting on my couch eating jalapeño kettle chips in my pajamas, when all of a sudden I feel a wet spot on my chest.

I looked up because I felt like something dripped on me.
Nothing there...

Then I decided to investigate under my shirt. And apparently my left boob is leaking. I squeezed it and a clearish liquid came out.

What is this?!

After my last miscarriage I started lactating at 17 weeks but then it actually looked like milk. This just looks like slightly cloudy water.

I'm weirded out. And also fascinated.

Anyone have any ideas? Or is anyone else going through this?

    I totally bought some of these a few weeks ago when they had a promotion going on! I'm gonna start using them!

    Oh good! Def give them a try! And like PP mentioned, crying babies totally start it too. Hearing baby's cry causes your brain/body to release.. Oxytocin, I believe, which is what makes your body lactate. (One of the hormones. Oxytocin and prolactin are released for nursing.)

    I'm pretty sure being overly happy can do the same since oxytocin is the feel good hormone. 
    I lol'd at this.  It made me think that eating chips in their jammies makes someone so happy they lactate!  
    I probably was so happy that I lactated. At least now I know what one of my triggers is...

    No leaking here yet, but now I'm going to be obsessively attentive to my boobs every evening after my shower...

    Yes! Woke up this morning with a wet spot on my t shirt. Guess I have to start wearing a sports bra to bed.

    It's colostrum. Very normal. Just don't squeeze anymore.

    I had it at 11 weeks.

    As a FTM I do not know anything about this!!! When does this "usually" start? What do you do???

    It never happened to me until after I had my dd...guess it's just different for everyone. :)

    I didn't leak with my first during pregnancy. You just wear pads to line your bras.

    My right boob doesn't leak but stuff (apparently colostrum) comes out when I squeeze.  I've been so fascinated that I check it out every morning to see if it still comes out.  I had no idea I shouldn't be squeezing.  Thanks for the heads up!

    I have not had leaking, but my nipples are changing. I have had to stop looking at them because they make me cry. I will likely cry again if they start leaking. They just aren't the same boobs that I knew.
