**update 3. I really need your prayers

As I sit here with my unconscious husband and a bone sticking out of his leg in the hospital. He was in a terrible accident and right now I don't know much more than that. Please send any thoughts prayers to distract me. I'm away from both kids in a specialty hospital awaiting to hear our plan of action and next steps. Thanks everyone. I love you all. DH has a compound fracture in his right leg. Birth bones are completely shattered The only thing holding his foot and shin together was his skin. He has a few broken ribs and fractured his sternum. His belly is really swollen and covered in abrasions. He had his first surgery today and will have to await for antibiotics to run through his system before he has a plate put in his knee, a rod on his tibia and fibula and screws in place throughout. he will have to relearn how to walk. I've been pumping every three hours to try to keep up, but at this point I just feel defeated. I don't know what we'll do financially since he is our only income, so formula is kinda out of the question. I'm so grateful to be sitting in the hospital with him, and not planning his funeral. Definitely a long road ahead, but it could be so much worse. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I read them to DH and he is so humbled that I've gotten to know you guys over the few months. Thanks for the support. It means more than you know.

DH will have his hardware surgery tomorrow at  3pm MST. He's an emotional wreck. The kids can't visit due to ongoing RSV restrictions. He's really struggling. Im having a difficult time staying strong,but trying to remain positive. I really appreciate your continued support. If you could keep him in your thoughts through his surgery tomorrow, i'll be forever grateful
DH just got out of surgery. His leg had been reconstructed. He aspirated during surgery, so now he's back for chest xrays.. my heart hurts for him.
