  • @2MamazinSeattle and @jalara48 - I'm so sorry for your losses and that you are grieving. I understand. Huge hugs of support

AFM: We had a great Easter weekend with MH family. We have our first OB appointment on Thursday at 11w6d. I am so nervous, but trying to be positive. I told the Dean on Friday, and that went pretty well.

  • 2Mamaz, that picture is beautiful, I am jealous!

(((hugs))) to jalara, sammers, and liz. Sounds like everything is going well with the rest of you guys, and I'm so happy to hear that!

Update: I started Lupron a couple weeks ago, and added in Vivelle and Lovenox this past week. I have a lining check next week and if all progresses well I'll have a transfer sometime between 5/9-14 hopefully!

QOTW: we are going camping and then to a concert in Colorado in July, so I'm looking forward to that. We might take a weekend trip to Minneapolis one weekend and then another small vacation to eastern Michigan but those are kind of up in the air. Depends a lot I guess on what happens with this transfer!

  • Hi Ladies...Forgive me if I have not been as supportive or present as usual in the past few months. I have been trying to keep updated on everyone.
Its been really hard for me the past few months and i have to admit I'm having major jealousy issues. All my close bump friends seem
to be moving on and its really really hard feeling left behind. I know most of you have had these feelings and they are hard to admit and write. Deep down I'm so happy for everyone on here that gets to move on but I have this sinking feeling in my gut that I will not move forward. A lot of this has hit me the last few days and I've gotten really good at pushing these feeling deep down and not talking about them. Today I'm home alone and can't stop crying. Some of you may know that we have moved forward with our foster adoption and are currently waiting to be matched. On one hand I'm so excited for whats to come and the other hand I walk by the nursery we have prepared most recently and its like jabbing the knife in harder every time I see it. I told my dh last night i was sad to see a cute nursery all done up and me not even be pregnant. Although I am truly ready to care for  whatever child may come I know i need to deal with these feeling to move forward.I have booked my first counseling meeting to talk about all of this and dh did too. We currently still have 4 embryos left from our donor cycle and I'm scared to use them. i just recently made a appointment to see our RE since the miscarriage at the end of feb. I feel like he has failed us and don't know if we can move forward with him. The money has been spent and there are not many more options to go somewhere else now or get a carrier so I fear I will waste these embryos if we put them in me. May 12th we will meet with him and see what our next steps are. I miss talking to you all and hope everyone is doing well.

  • @Lacyj67 - SO many hugs to you sweetie. I know it's hard to feel the way you are feeling, but you have to try to just let it happen. As the number of losses piled up for us, I had more and more feelings of anger, jealously, self pity, and loads of other things that I had never felt before. I was ashamed at the way I was feeling, because I'd never been so jealous or angry before but I just had to let myself feel the way I was. Pushing the feelings down will inevitably force them out at the EXACT wrong moment (trust me...this is experience talking).

I'm glad you are able to move forward with foster adoption and I hope the road to a family smooths out for you a bit in the coming weeks and months. Please take care of yourself. We're always here when you needs us.

I am glad you and yh are seeing a counselor, it really helped us when we were at an impasse.

AFM: We are on hold until I have my Lap next month. I hate not doing anything.

QOTW: No real plans. I'm guessing we will not have a real vaca this summer, maybe a few camping trips. Any money saved will go to additional IF treatments.

  • @2MamazInSeattle‌ omgosh! Have an amazing vacation in paradise! Such a great time to get away and reconnect with your partner before lo comes!
@jalara48‌ are you allowed to send anything? I'm guessing your aren't but if you are, you can send a recording of your voice! It must be hard being so far away but I'm sure that baby will know you as the momma at first sight. It's going to be beautiful.
@sammer818‌ holy cow your poor surrogate!! I'm glad they are keeping a close eye on her and I'm sure everything will be ok. So sorry you are all going through this!

My process is moving along. If you don't know, I'm going to be a traditional (my egg) surrogate for two dads. My IP's came sun, mon and Tuesday of last week and we did 4 at home insemination attempts. It wasn't weird at all but I'm glad the anticipation and nerves of the first try is over. I'm waiting till Friday to test but I'm feeling little twinges in my breasts which is something I felt in my other pregnancies!

I'm hoping it worked the first time because my IP's are getting married in July and I'd love it to be all out in the open. I'm thinking if I'm only a few weeks along at their wedding it might be awkward that we can't tell anyone!! Not to mention that people figure it out when I'm only drinking water!! Haha.

QOTW: we have a few weekend getaways planned this summer, for the IP's wedding in New York, we are also going to wildwood New Jersey in august..!!!

@Km672‌ I'm in mass also! South coast!!!

We had Gracie's cardiac echo last week and everything looked good. She is growing on track and as of last week weighed 1lb3oz. She was moving like crazy and it took the pediatric cardiologist doing the echo almost an hour to get all of the measurements. I have 2 more monthly growth ultrasounds with the mfm and then move to weekly monitoring.

QOTD: no real plans except finishing the nursery since my c-section should be at the end of July or August 1.

8/2011: Diagnosed with ovarian cancer, ovaries and tubes removed

    12/2011: Finished chemo

    5/2013: Cleared for DE IVF

Hello everyone…things are going good. I feel like everything is "real" now that we are finally moving forward after meeting with our RE. Just waiting for some lab results to check my levels before moving forward with our first cycle. We are planning to do the first cycle in June. I have to say lately I've been feeling really emotional about it, I'm feeling pretty scared about the emotional roller coaster ahead. But I'm trying to remember to think positive and also remind myself that stress won't help.

A friend of mine is coming to visit in May. Aside from that, our summer plans are to relax and try for that BFP!

  • Check In: We have good news! We've decided that Laire and I's cycle will be synced with Lia's, rather than with mine. I will be starting Prostap (UK name for Lupron) and Laire will be starting Synarel (Alternative to Prostap, since she's allergic to the aggressor in it) on the June 1st, and we're looking at having egg retrieval on July the 13th (or around that time, anyway).

QOTW: I'm getting married! Finally, on June 30, I shall be making an honest man of Valentijn, haha. It's also Tove's 4th birthday a week later, whilst we are on honeymoon in Jamaica.

  • So much happening on here.  My heart goes out to everyone who is having struggles.  It bursts with happiness for those doing well--and my fingers are crossed for you Becky, it is finally your turn!

AFM, I am just taking BC to prepare for June retrieval.  I am not having my usual nausea or headaches, hooray!  I have my baseline at the end of May and am not likely to have much to report before then.

Summer plans--my husband will be gone for a month for work, and I'm realllly hoping I can be with him for at least some of the time, but it is far away and would be quite expensive.  FX I can go.
  • Hello everyone! Hugs to those that needs them and FX for everybody else!

Check In: I got for my first beta in less than four days, and AF is a day overdue, which could obviously mean nothing, but it is unusual for me. I'm starting to get really nervous now. Scary stuff.

QOTW: I'm off for a working holiday to Iceland for pretty much the whole of June, (I'm also looking for fertility clinics over there just now because (FX) if this beta is positive, I'll have to continue with my betas over there.) My best friend is also getting married next December, and wants to go on a summer holiday with just me, her and our other best friend before she's 'tied down' (her words, not mine) without her being stressed with wedding stuff, but that will depend on how our other friend feels about leaving her son with their dad for 10 days when they've only just divorced. So it's all still up in the air really.

  • Check-In: We have dates! As @Astrabacus said, Laire starts Synarel on June 1st, egg retrieval should be around July 13th, and we also got the expected transfer date of July the 18th.

QOTW: We are planning on going camping in The Hague, The Netherlands for a long weekend around late June, though what with TTC stuff, it may end up on hold, and then going to Italy for 10 days in August. We may also head up to Durness for a long weekend next week, but we will have to see if Laire will be needed at work first.

  • Hi Everyone :) I'm the new kid on the block, so forgive me if I screw this up!

Check-In: How is it going? What are your next steps? How are you feeling?
Everyday is a roller coaster. We are going to be grieving our most recent BFN for a while. Next steps are to gather information and consider all our options. Doc gave us a little hope for cycling with my eggs, but it looks like it might be time to move onto egg donors. In my head, I know it's probably the best way for us to go, but it's going to take my heart some time to catch up.

QOTW: Summer is just around the corner! What plans do you have?? What are you looking forward to?
We're both teachers, so our summers are usually very relaxed. We don't have any vacation plans at the moment... and we probably won't do anything big since it seems that we need to save our pennies for whatever lies ahead. But we'll definitely plan a few day trips to the beach, visit family at the lake, and do a few home improvement projects in between.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
  • @Twinkle0612 15 days!  I know it's going to feel like forever, but the time will fly by!  AH I'm so excited for you :)@ksgsmu 21 embies!  Great news :)  I'm glad that the embryologist felt good about them too.
@sammer818 I completely know how you feel.  I had a friend get pregnant that had initially offered to be our donor and said that the baby was an "oops".  I was so ticked off at her... we stopped being friends not to long after.  I'm sorry you are having to deal with this drama.  Also, prayers for your surro, I hope that she is feeling better soon.

: Can't believe that May is almost here!  Mid-may is when we'll start our cycle for our 1st FET.  Kinda excited to get things going!
QOTW: This summer we have plans to go to the beach in Virginia for a week with my family.  We are also going on a weekend trip with 5 other families who we met in our local Resolve Support Group.  Other than that, I'm interviewing for positions in my school district.  After being on a leave of absence for 2 years, I'm heading back to work (and better health insurance in the hopes that we'll be pg).
