Intro - not sure if people into here

Hi! I am a sahm of an almost 10 month old boy named James. Just wanted to intro as I think I've been lurking for a while (I usually post on the July 13 board) and want to start posting here.

The past 10 months have been a rough transition for me as I went from working full time to sah. Lately I've been struggling over whether or not to return to work. I miss the interaction but I'm afraid that I'm going to end up going back as soon as he gets really fun and I will regret it.

Has anyone had a similar struggle? It's nice to talk with people in the same situation.

    @Diapers&Wipes‌, thank you so much for that!! One of my friends said that same thing :). I am both excited for and dreading the 1 a day nap!

    Hello! Welcome!

    Yes, I have been there. I was really unhappy SAH for awhile, I really wanted to go back to work. Being a new parent is tough and SAH isn't for everyone. But DD is 14 months now and it has been so much better the last 2 - 3 months. I agree with d&w, after a year the kid gets easier and you are adjusted to being a parent. I love it now.

    But like I said, SAH isn't for everyone and some people go back to work and are happier there. Do what works for your family :)

    I definitely think life got better after one year. I wasn't a huge fan of the baby stage. He interacts more now and has such a personality. He still naps twice a day, but I know that's not the norm. He's almost 16 months and still naps from 10:30-12:30ish and again 4-5:30ish. It's pretty nice. :)

    I agree that things get better after 1. Also, I really started enjoying staying at home once we made friends. Now we have our own causal playgroup established and I feel like DD and I have both benefited from the extra interaction.
