I've been having some new bouts of pelvic pressure over the past two days and tonight some back pain but no other labor signs. I'm 39 weeks, FTM - is it happening?!?!!? Tell me what i want to hear!!!!
Telling you what you want to hear: yes! Yay! You're in labor!
The truth: you might be starting labor. You might just be having uncomfortable, but common 3rd tri symptoms. I had those same things and didn't go into labor.
ugh i know, i'm just looking for someone to tell me baby boy is almost here. this waiting part is just torture and i don't like not having total control over everything lol

you do realize you're about to be at the mercy of an infant, right??
ain't no party like a newborn party cause a newborn party don't stop!

Yeah. Any little bit of control I had left flew out the operating room window. Actually, I lost it when I had DD1. I have not been in control for 3.5 years.
@mamafantastic yes, i do realize that thanks. no need to be rude, i'm obviously referring to labor and not knowing when it'll happen. some of us enjoy getting excited over the little things
i'm not being rude, i'm being comical because of the absurdity of your original question to this particular audience, and then that followup comment to boot. you sound a bit uptight. your baby will come when s/he pleases, and there's very little you can do about it. don't worry... you won't mistake real labor, trust me. take a deep breath and relax. it's good practice for motherhood.
I actually feel better in the 40th week than I did in the 39th. I just keep telling myself the EDD isn't a deadline, its an estimate that is easily off a week or more either way. If you're in the 39th week, the waiting is nearly over no matter when the baby comes. Though I've known from the start that FTMs are more likely to go past their due date than early. Can't say I'm thrilled about it, the opposite in fact. I'm ready to be done, but baby is happy where she is right now. As I tell people bothering me about missing my due date, "baby will come when she's ready to." The only thing predictable about giving birth is the unpredictability.

do you mind only commenting on my post if you have something intelligent or helpful to contribute? it's weird you're spending so much time on this trying to be an internet troll.

this was both intelligent and helpful. also? very true.
i don't think you understand what trolling is. i'm just playing with you now because it's fun.

wasn't looking for any psychics to jump in. if i really thought i was in labor i'd call my doctor, not jump on my computer. just looking for encouragement... like i mention in my original post as i state "tell me what i want to hear"...or the very least someone who is feeling the same way. you can read everyones birth stories and labor pains but none are identical so it's always worth asking around.
Lack of sleep makes me pretty crabby. I was being funny. You don't get support unless you give it. I don't recognize your s/n name at all. Which means you probably haven't been very supportive, or even here the last 40+ weeks.
Ohmigosh don't listen to the haters! Their just hormonal and jealous!!! I'm sure your baby is coming soon I've had the same symptoms as you for three days now and feel like the end is sooooo near which is a bit of a bummer because I still have sooooooooo much to do but oh well! ) ) ) ) Babi will come when she comes I guess but I don't know??? I hope your baby comes soon and is nice and sweet an popular too!!!!!! Good luck with you're cramps and pains!!! ) ) ) ) )

OMG you guys are just amazing and @biggerinreallife I love you so much!!!
OP most of us have had symptoms like this for WEEKS. There are several of us who have gone overdue and are getting more annoyed each day. Heck some of us end up sitting in a hospital bed for days because of concerns about baby with absolutely no symptoms of labour at all.
So yeah, you coming here, out of the blue commenting about your pelvic pressure and back pain really pisses some of us off. I hope for your sake you are in labour and don't have to deal with the above.
Now I'm going to text my husband, who is not allowed to stay with me overnight, and get comfortable in my hospital bed while I prepare for the fact that my body has not gone into labour on its own and the Dr's have decided to start my induction in 22 hrs.
I am sorry I don't have more sympathy, or a better answer for you.

OP, since you're such an amaaAAAaazing lurker, I trust you understand the back story here.
Actually, this is exactly why it's NOT worth asking around. But grats on your logic sweetie.
