Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Best toy you ever bought your infant?

My daughter is four months old and I'm about to go toy shopping I think I want to get her a play table I'm just not sure how long she will actually play with it once she's big enough. What is the best toy you bought for your infant?

Re: Best toy you ever bought your infant?

  • I didn't buy it, but when our son (almost 6 months) was born we got My pal Scout given to us by a family member. It's leap frog and comes in green for boys and purple for girls. He absolutely loves it :)

  • I saw how popular Sophie was, I was hoping she is worth the hype for the the price.
  • O-ball. We have the one with the little rattles. Easy to hold so it's his favorite toy by far.

  • A little material book it's got something inside the pages so it makes a loud crinkling noise when my 4.5 month old throws it around and tries to shove it in her mouth. She loves it. We also attached some rings to the spin.
  • My daughter is almost 6 months and she loves her razbaby teether, go gaga squeeze and teethe elephant and sassy rings o links.

    Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo

Hands down best toy ever!! Both my My DD's love/loved it!! DD1 used it for a long time and now DD2 finally fits in it and LOVES it!

Also My Pal Violet (leap frog) was/is a big hit. You can program her to say your child's name, play their favorite songs etc..great toy!

  • I third the Jumparoo and also the kick and play piano. DD LOVES kicking!! Anything with "taggies" or that plays music.
She just started really enjoying Sophie. Before it was a "drop on the floor and mommy keeps picking it up" game toy.
She also loves Mommy's hair, her red solo cup at bath time or a water bottle...full or empty
  • O-ball and sophie are big hits.  Also anything that crinkles.  Additionally, a red solo cup.  He likes to try and drink out of it at bath time... he likes to babble into the mouth because it magnifies his voice... it's pretty funny and ridiculous.  Who needs expensive toys.
Another rec for a cup, though the one I use at bathtime is a yellow cup from Dickie's BBQ. My LO does the same thing, tries to drink out of it at bath time. He also loves burp clothes, to chew and throw and flap around.

Also rec o-ball. Sophie has been hit or miss for my guy.

He also LOVED his playmat up until a few weeks ago. Now that he's trying to crawl he couldn't be bothered with it.

  • Mortimer the Moose.
  • I bought LO a butterfly teether from Kohl's that she loves. I don't know what it's called, but she can hold onto it and wear the antenna are she can bite down on it and it vibrates. She loves it.

  • It's not really a baby toy but my LO loves this squishy ball with spikes that lights up. I don't let him play with it by himself bc I don't know how safe it is (since it's not a baby toy) but he absolutely loves it. I think it's a combination of the texture and lights... Unfortunately he always throws a fit when i take it away.
  • The fisher price sit me up floor seat has been awesome, can put it any where and take it any where.

  • I second the Lamaze toys, we have the T-Rex and the dinosaur and my LO loves them. He also likes Sophie and the fisher price jumperoo
