No one RSVP'd (3 weeks ago invites were sent) and no one responded to the Facebook group...this is a shower that someone else picked up because the first friend dropped the ball two times in a row.

Not to sound petty but I totally ugly cried at home.

Did your hostess only send FB invites or actual invites as well?

FB invites can be notorious for poor turnout.

Still not cool or an excuse that no one showed, but it seems like your host (along with the previous host) kind of dropped the ball for you as far as following up with everyone.

And I don't think anyone can judge you for ugly crying. You were majorly let down by your family and friends

Long story short, a facebook event was created to save money and invite the people on my guest list (over 50 people non-family). Family was sent a paper invite as a memento. I was not in the facebook group due to keeping some surprises. I had some friends message me saying they couldn't come because of work and stuff, and I get that. I also get that they didn't send a follow-up message to get final RSVP's. I chose to not question too hard because it hurt the host also that it happened. He worked hard to make a nice shower (games/gifts/decorations) and I didn't want to Debbie Downer the afternoon.

Either way, my mom, nana, and grandpa had some fun and I'm just going to try and forget about it all. I appreciate everyone's comments, and I'm not one to air my drama, but this just hurt too much. Just something else that has shown me who gives a crap and who doesn't.

While we are missing some stuff still for Rhys, we'll make it. It just makes me feel that much closer to my son and that much more anxious to have him in my arms. I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!
