They are so stressful. Hubs and I have HUGE families, grandparents and aunts and uncles etc would bring the "close family only" count to like 50 people. I'm on my third baby and expected to do something for all 3. Mil even suggested "changing my sons birthday" because it's a month before Christmas and she would rather celebrate in the spring/summer *eyeroll* I'm not changing his birthday, and he's not suffering any because his birthday is in November.

I go out all year as well but we don't invite anyone.. this year was the first year we actually invited people, (DS wanted to invite everyone in his preschool class which was 7 kids.. not a very good chance of them coming). I enjoy throwing parties though. I do it for us not for others. I love baking the cake.. I love decorating.. I love wrapping the gifts hahaha..
I voted "yes" because we have so far, but she's only 3. We will celebrate every year but probably won't have a big party every year.
This year was her biggest- 10 kids at The Little Gym. Last year, we had just 2 kiddos to our house (plus their parents and a few of our family members) for a back yard BBQ and to play with her water/sand table.
