I need opinions. My ds who's 7 has been acting terrible lately. This week alone he has not listened once. He peed on the floor right in front if the toilet. Like he didn't even try to pee in the toilet at all and he's scribbled all over my oldest dd dollhouse. We are suppose to be spending the night at a hotel tomorrow so they kids can go swimming and enjoy time together before LO comes. However I'm tempted not to let him go because of his behavior. What would you do?
I'd like to add he's not the baby of the family. We also have a 2 yr old dd.
After a stressful few weeks slash months of searching, we were finally approved last night to rent in a diff coop down the road! Time for a 2 bedroom apartment to accommodate baby!! 33 weeks and moving this weekend!! So much to do and couldn't be more grateful to be not allows to lift a thing although I packed up basically the entire apartment over my spring break vaca!

I feel you! We moved last week just across town to a bigger apartment. It was seriously the worst move ever. So overwhelming and I felt useless. Moving while pregnant is awful!
We went to our first birthing class last night and I got a much needed ego boost. During one of our bathroom breaks (because it's a 3 hour class with a bunch of 3rd tri pregnant women), the nurse that was instructing the class told me I was one of the cutest dressed pregnant women she's seen :-) I've been feeling so frumpy lately and actually was in the mood to make somewhat of an effort yesterday, so it was nice to have that noticed.
Total AW moment - It's that time when the school is requesting baby and senior pictures of your kids for graduation activities. I got a little wispy going through which photos to submit. I can't believe how fast this kid went from the slobbering ham to this young man!
@ugabamafans Oh yeah and it is amazing! @wareagle1220 I got the bacon, egg and cheese crunch wrap. There was a hashbrown in it and their yummy taco sauce. Jesus danced on my tongue.

The breakfast crunch wrap sounds amazing but the waffle taco...not so much.
What the hell is with the husbands in danger this week? DH told me that someone drove by the Police Department and SHOT AT IT. Wtf? That's supposed to be their safe haven. Like home base.
Their police cars are all parked out front so there are officers constantly outside. No one was outside at the time, so no one was hurt, thank goodness, but still. I'm sick to my stomach. I've worried about DH so much more since being pregnant and that certainly didn't help.
OMG, I'm glad your DH is okay. I hope they find who did it.
My DH's squad arrested 3 people yesterday, but during the arrest, his Sergeant got a broken nose and one of the officers sprained her wrist. DH has been home sick this week, but if he was there, knowing him, he would have been in the middle of it and possibly gotten hurt too.
I'm right there with you. Now that there's a kid in the picture, it's even scarier knowing he's out there in harms way.

It doesn't sound appealing to me because "waffle taco" sounds way too close to "twat waffle"...

I think this came up a while ago, but we're just starting to consider this...so is anyone planning to do cord blood banking?
Public or private? I donated to a public bank with DD. I'm not sure if the hospital I will be delivering at does it (we moved), but I would again.

We're considering private storage. It's just really pricey...like $2K plus $130/year. I just don't want something to happen and then know that stem cells could have helped, but we chose not to.
I have been sitting at my desk with my hand on my belly just feeling LO move around for the last 15 minutes. Fairly often, I can distinctly feel a hand or a foot and I get all excited like she is high-fiving me from in there.
Anyone have suggestions for good shoes for swollen feet? I work in an office so need something that is at least business casual and hopefully nice enough to wear to court. I was thinking a pair of flats in wide might work.
@whoberry - I ended up going with a solid black pair of Sketcher sneakers because eventually my flats pinched my feet as they swelled during the day. In fact just this week I have had to go exclusively to sneakers in the office. My alternates are flip flops and those will not work in the office. Maybe try sneakers if you can and put on the flats (I have better luck with ballet style) for when you're in court?
@Pepper6 we were going to but upon further research it is only good for relatives or subsequent children. We don't plan on any more kids so I'm not going to. I would do public donation, but haven't discussed if it's a possibility at my birth center.

@pepper6 I'm doing cord blood donation, but not banking. My hospital will do it for free and if it can be used to help someone in need or for people to learn more, I'm all for it.
@Rachel5130 that is so scary! I'm so glad your DH is ok and everyone at his station as well. I know your fears, my brother is a police officer and DH is a firefighter/medic. It's scary! It's very hard for me to watch the news.
We finally bought our stroller and car seat. I'm pretty excited. Babies R Us is having 20% off all joggers and travel systems. My medical director gave me a gift card as a gift recently and we ended up paying only $50 for the travel system!
I'm so eager to get the nursery done but H has no sense of urgency. We need to finish refinishing the crib but he keeps putting it off. I'm getting so frustrated!
I just put C to bed in her new room and new bed for the first time. She is two. She just about kicked me out so she could go to sleep. A bunch of squirming and I'm pretty sure she's not in bed anymore,, but she not calling out for me. This is when I want a video monitor. Pretty sure she's reading to herself and I'm sitting on the floor outside her room listening in...when did she get so big!?
ETA: My wonderful, lovely girl put herself to bed with only one, 30 second call for Momma. I am amazed and impressed at how independent she is.
Hmm. I just talked to my doctor yesterday about when I need to call about BH, and he said if I have 4 in an hour to call... well I've had 3 in the last 30 minutes, so I guess I need to pray I don't have anymore for the next half hour!
This is a straight up brag, but i'm so excited. Ive been stroller shopping for a while now trying to find the best I can afford and have totally fallen in love with the Quinny Buzz stroller. And go figure its WAY out of my price range. So began the search on ebay, craigslist, baby outlets, you name it i've looked. So, I went into Buy Buy Baby today to see the real deal in person (again) and was asking the sales guy about it and he told me they have a new model out so the floor model I was looking at was the last one. So I cleverly asked him if he could sell me the floor model at a discount. He checked and came back with 40% off, still pricey but totally worth it! Then at the register I remembered a 20% off coupon I got that day for Bed Bath & Beyond and it worked! So I ended up getting it new for a quarter of the original price!! I will admit that I am a total bargain shopping nut always, but its usually for clothes or shoes for myself or DH. Ive never thought I could get this excited over a stroller! Welcome to motherhood!!
I think I may have just shaved my legs for the last time this pregnancy (Blech). It was utterly exhausting. Feel like asking The Hubs will be a true test.
My SS/AW is a pity party I am throwing for myself tonight. I'm pretty sure a package that was delivered today by the postal service was stolen BC it wasn't here when I got home tonight. I filed a claim. It's not even something that can be easily replaced. Sold out everywhere and not coming back in stock for months. I keep telling myself to put my big girl panties on, buuuuuut I feel like being an immature crybaby. Boo hoo.

Related to this but possibly Tmi, but I think sexy time last night might have been the last time before baby comes. So not sexy, so awkward and today I feel like a truck hit me. Lol. I feel ya girl.
I got a summons yesterday for federal jury duty in June. Pretty sure I have a valid excuse to get out of it! On a side note, I have always wanted to go to jury duty (maybe not federal, that seems scary) so I am slightly bummed about the timing.

I know what you mean! this happened to me my first pregnancy. not federal court but I was so upset I always wanted jury duty and I was supposed to go on my due date! lol such a bummer

Check the laws in your state. Pregnancy will get you out of it, but they may reschedule you. My neighbor was summoned two weeks before her due date and was excused. They rescheduled her for only 2 months later and she is EBFing which is NOT excusable in my state. Just a heads up that they might make you go anyway and while you're on maternity leave at that.
