Abdominal pain- round ligament?

Hi ladies.  I'm 20 weeks today.  Woke up yest am with sharp pain getting out of bed, couldn't find a comfortable position.  On off pain throughout yest and today, although not so bad this am as yest am.  No other symptoms at all that something is wrong, just an achy pain, occasionally a sharp pain, almost along where the upper line of your underwear would be- right, left and middle pain.  Does this sound like round ligament pain?  Are any of you experiencing similar?

  • RLP is generally caused by a quick change in position. ..like sitting to standing...or sneezing/coughing

  • Sounds like RLP to me. If it was localized to one area I'd be concerned, if it's both sides and even center at times, I'd say it's safe to say it's RLP & overall streching pains. Even little things that used to be normal can be painful now because think about it, your uterus itself is somewhere close to the size of a cantaloupe(depending on how far along you are) so things are going to be a bit different. If you run a fever, the pain is localized, or you start vomiting or bleeding, then see your doctor.
  • Sounds like RLP, but ask your dr for peace of mind

I could have written this but it's only my right side! I called thinking that this is what they were going to say but they want me to come in for a check. Hope yours is just RLP.

  • I deal with RLP more (lower right side most of the time) when I try to sleep on my right side and it's harder for me to get out of bed comfortably. I don't know why it's like this. When I sleep on my left side, I feel fine.

  • Thanks for the info, yest and today have definitely been better and still no other symptoms of anything being wrong, just the occasional cramping type feelings.
