My stepdaughters were supposed to go out of town with their mom, so I was going to do last minute stuff around the house and just relax (baby inside still). But their mom just texted and said they aren't going. So now I have two upset little girls and I'm trying to come up with something fun to do today since it'll be the last weekend it is just the four of us before the baby.

I have a girls day out with my mom and sisters today! We're suppose to go see Anchorman 2 (the movie theater has overstuffed reclining seats, so I'll be fine) and out to dinner, but I have a sneaky suspicion that they're throwing me a tiny sprinkle instead (and by "tiny" I literally mean just my mom, me and my 2 sisters will be there.) We'll see!

DH will be home with the kids all day and I'm hoping he FINALLY packs his hospital bag considering that I was able to pack for 5 people last weekend and he still hasn't gotten himself ready. Sigh.

Andplusalso, my OB said I was measuring 7 weeks ahead yesterday and was a "good 6cm, but didn't know if she could call me a 7 yet" to which I immediately replied "DON'T. Don't call me a 7." So yeah... get your shit together, DH. (Literally.)

We our (well mostly DH) doing our final cleaning before baby comes on Monday! I can't believe it's two days away! I'm also hoping I feel up to taking dd to go get an ice cream sundae

Heading out to go shopping at Carter's with my mom for last minute things.

I've been putting out fires at work all day through email. Our office isn't even open on Saturdays, and I'm dealing with staff bullshit.

DD is with my sister for the weekend, so it is just me, DH, and DS. They are both still sleeping and I am doing all my household chores. Then we are running a bunch of errands (so much easier with a newborn than a 3 year old!)

Well today started off with a trip to the midwife (LO and I are fine...but he is still high and nowhere near ready to come out at this point) followed by a trip to the doctor's with DD. She had a fever and a pretty bad cough. Diagnosis- croup. The doctor gave her a steroid. Her fever went down with Tylenol and she seems to be feeling fine now.

Tonight we have dinner plans at a really nice restaurant with two other couples. I called our babysitter and she was still fine with coming over and I called the other couples and they are also fine. (The other couples were coming over to our house first for cocktails).

The game plan is to continue to monitor DD, as of now she has no fever and is acting fine. If this continues we will still have people over and go out to eat...Which means I have to do a real quick clean of the house.

Going to a breast feeding class at a shop downtown, and enjoying this last free weekend before my parents get into town and start staring at me wondering when the baby is going to come ("due" Monday... We'll see.)

Going to my moms to do laundry since my washer thinks its cool to bleach our clothes.Then she's driving DD and I to Ikea to get stuff for DD's big girl room and BRU to look at the clothes on clearance.

DS2 was born yesterday, so nursing, changing dipes, expecting my parents, ILs, and DS1 to be visiting shortly. Maybe a nap and a shower, too. And LOTS if snuggling with DS2.

I'm kind of excited about this day!

Working until noon, I have an appointment to get my eyebrows done, we're picking up Chipotle for our friends who had a baby a week ago and then going to spend sometime and snuggle their squish!

ETA: also I would love to spontaneously go into labor because my doctor is on rotation at the hospital and today is the only chance I have for her to deliver me..

Gym class with DS. That wears me out at this point (sad) so I will probably have a nap after that while DH gives him lunch etc.

Tonight, date night with DH. Very likely our last before baby. Dinner and a movie, probably American Hustle. DS is sleeping over at my parents' place.

Depending on if my hips continue to feel as if they should just go ahead and be removed from my body I will either have a day of reading, watching Netflix, and napping on the couch/in bed or I'll head out this afternoon and get a pedicure and hit up the clearance sale at Carter's. Either way I'm trying to enjoy my final days/weeks of inside baby before my life is completely changed.

I'm going to return the library books that I had planned to return the day Peanut was born. Two weeks ago. It's a goal.

And we're going to eat, sleep and feed the Peanut. And maybe wash all the things that have baby pee on them.

I'm in the I HAVE A 1 MONTH OLD! club- taking LO to a belated family Christmas get-together at my mom's. Not really looking forward to all the stupid comments and obligatory passing around the LO and praying she doesn't catch something. You'd think by one month I'd be dying to get out of the house and hand off LO to someone for awhile, but I'm an introverted homebody. I love snuggling my little peach in my cozy house! Now I have to actually wear real clothes and talk to people...

So after my shower last weekend, I washed and organized all of the baby clothes... I was able to take stock, and while we have more clothes than any baby could ever wear before growing out of them, I realized that I have only 1 sleeper in newborn size. So I'm thinking of going out and picking up a few more... I was under 6 lbs, so there's a good chance LO will wear NB for at least a bit! A girlfriend of mine who couldn't make it to my shower is also stopping by his afternoon for some coffee! That is all. Haha.

Hoping to go to the mall on my own for a little bit. Otherwise just cleaning, packing the hospital bag and taking it easy. I thought maybe labor was imminent last night and got no sleep, but nothing materialized. Sigh. We're hoping this little girl is born on DH's birthday which is Monday. Here's hoping!

I gutted 3 of my children's rooms and toy boxes yesterday and today I can barely walk...SO is working his last day before my planned c section Monday morning, so it's me and the kids (this should be interesting)
Taking them to breakfast, cause I'm not cooking crap! A quick run to Walmart for tubs to store the toys I cleaned out. Then home for the kiddos to do their chores cause we have family coming to stay tonight and spend tomorrow with us for football.
The 2 yr old has an ear infection and didn't sleep worth a damn so I see a lot of lounging in our sat!

H and I ran almost all of our errands yesterday, so we're just chilling at my parents' house. I should probably go grocery shopping but will probably put it off until tomorrow.

Just kidding. We need diapers and baby soap. Looks like we're going out. This gives me an excuse to go get a hamburger from my favorite restaurant...

The whole family slept until 9:00 this morning! This is pretty much unheard of, and since DS2 was only up twice over night I actually feel almost like a real human being.

We have our photographer coming over to do DS2's newborn shoot around 1:00, but other than that no special plans. I feel good enough that I may attempt to venture out of the house!

I'm excited about my plans tomorrow. One of my college roommates up visiting her family (they live about an hour from me) and she's making the drive out to visit me as well. I haven't seen her since my wedding, and so she'll be meeting both my boys for the first time.

DH went in to work a bit later this morning so we all slept in and then had a nice breakfast together.

Then I went with my mom to get groceries while DH went to work. It has been getting too hard for me to get groceries by myself, so I will gladly take the help when it is offered.

Now I'm just sitting here checking all of my e-mail, FB, TB, etc. and deciding on something to eat.

The rest of the day, all I have planned is cooking supper, sitting in my recliner chair, and trying to get as far ahead in my school work as possible to make it easier on myself when LO is born. My academic advisor pretty much told me that I can't have a newborn and work on undergraduate classes yesterday - so I'm more determined than ever now to prove the bitch wrong lol @mrsjenni I am sure that this is not the type of crap "advice" you give your students!

@km_md- Um, no. I would, however, remind my student of when the add/drop and withdrawal deadlines were incase they were feeling a bit overwhelmed with caring for a newborn while taking classes. I would never tell them to drop, especially one that has previously done well and I knew could handle it. I'd prob have them check in with me a few times throughout the term as well to see how things were going.

Not a whole lot...nursing LO and trying to get homework done during her catnaps. I started a new quarter this week, so there was no working ahead...I'm kind of regretting not taking a break, but I WILL get it done! Only 8 more classes til my BS in Child Development.

In the two week old club here. Taking advantage of DH still being home (starts work next week) and enjoyed a loonnnggg hot shower. Friends might stop by later for a little visit. And I might do dishes. I actually get excited over this chore because it's easy to do and I don't feel lazy. Dd will still not let me put her down for more than 10 minutes (with the exception of first thing in the morning for some reason) so if DH is holding her is my only free time.
