I am a nurse.

My husband grew a beard Recently that I absolutely hate. He is supposed to get rid of it in June.

Everyone tells me my dd is my little clone but with blue eyes.

I love cats but two is the most I would ever want.

I ran track and cc all throughout school abd had a scholarship in college.

I went to school for cosmetology.

DH and I met through his ex girlfriend/my friend.

I did gymnastics and dance my whole life.

I want to work with children with disabilities instead of cosmetology.

I love going mudding and being outside.

1. I love going to theme parks. (I live about two hours south of Disney World). I love roller coasters.

2. I love animals - all animals - except spiders!

3. I had jaw surgery at 22yo. My jaw was broken into 6 pieces (on purpose) and put back together like a puzzle. I had extreme TMJ and an overbite. I had my mouth wired shut for 6 weeks and it was awful. I swore I would never go on a diet after that. I had to begin the school year like that too. Not fun! I would never have had the surgery if I had known what it would have been like.

4. My DH works for a company that builds high-end cabinetry (closet units that start at 400k, home libraries, etc). He gets to build this stuff in lots of famous people's houses and very rich people and the stories are very interesting. Houses can be 60k sqft.

5. I watch the Kardashians (sp??) and Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant and not sure why. It is just so awful...awfully good.

I was a Sargent in the Marine Corps. Ooh-rah!

My degree is in anthropology and if I had more time/money I'd love to go back for a PhD in Forensic Anthropology.

I also think I'd make a kick-ass lawyer

I don't eat dessert, ever. Just not interested.

Nearly all of my close friends are guys. They don't come with the BS girlfriends do.

I enlisted into the Marine Corps when I was 17 (I'm out now, DH is still in)

I am VERY indecisive about what I want to be when I 'grow up' I have too many interests to really narrow it down. So, I'm just working on my associates until I figure it out.

I know how to fence... As in putting up fences- I grew up on 80 acres and my dad and I built everything from the fences to the chicken coop and stables.

I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was a kid... I was a strange cookie.

I have seven siblings and we were all homeschooled until eighth grade.

I was born in Japan, grew up on Oahu, and moved to Maui three years ago.

I have a culinary arts degree and my graduation ceremony is next month

My name is carved on the Great Wall of China (I'm sorry, it was a school trip and a chaperone gave us a penny to carve our names)

My favorite chore in the house is laundry because I love going outside to hang the clothes.

I hate crabs (no, not the ones in your pants..) those creepy sea crustaceans.. SO loves to eat blue crabs and brings them home ALIVE so his mom can cook it. I nearly had a heart attack once when one of those fuckers escaped and ran around our kitchen.

1. I have a doctorate in educational leadership. I finished my dissertation just a few months before LO was born.
2. I sucked my thumb until age 10.
3. I used to hula dance for fun and would perform with my halau at luaus, parties, and festivals. I loved it, but eventually I got pushed out for being haole.

4. My second choice for LO's name was my high school boyfriend's name. Not because of the association, I just love the name. I never told DH I wanted that name.
5. I am, unfortunately, developing a fear of flying. It used to be NBD, but for some reason over the past few years I've become much more freaked out when flying. I love to travel so it sucks.

Thanks @RedSaffron. No, this was in LA. They let me dance with them (and pay for a LOT of costumes) while it suited them, and then they were done with me. FWIW I was pretty good, too.

Great thread idea

1. DH and I got married in Walt Disney World because I love Disney so much. But it was just like a regular destination wedding. Best day ever.

2. I'm half a credit away from finishing my bachelors degree in psychology but I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

3. I love to do all kinds of crafty and creative things.

4. I really enjoy organizing things and reorganize my house at least a few times a year.

5. DH and I share a birthday and it is also the day we went out for the first time.

1. My family's from South Africa. We moved to Canada when I was 2 and traveled back every 3 years to see family until I was in grade 8

2. I'm a home care nurse and love wound care. It's rewarding, satisfying (to see progress) and challenging. We see some nasty wounds and my family/friends think I'm weird for loving what I do.

3. I've never had a puppy and don't want one. We adopted an adult dog when I was a kid, and I want to do the same. Not for any noble reason - I just don't want to bother with training and find puppies kind of annoying (although cute)

4. I met H through his friend, who I went on a couple dates with. The guy was a douche and H was acting as his wingman, distracting me while he flirted with other girls. Joke was on him though because H and I clicked and started dating.

5. As a kid I hated wearing socks. I even went skiing a few times without socks. It always ended with me sobbing while my dad rubbed the feeling back into my feet because they were so cold (I was old enough to dress myself so it wasn't my parents' fault I skipped socks - took me a while to learn my lesson)

We currently have 2 and I want an orange tabby SO BAD (grew up with one and he was awesome). I would get one today but H is adamant on no more than 2 cats, and logically I agree

1. I've lived in Texas, Virginia, Louisiana and Pennsylvania since I started my "real job" 9 years ago.
2. My husband is from Iowa and we met in Waahington, DC.
3. My first 8 years if my career I worked for the military in civil service (hence the moves).
4. I'm an only child who said I would never leave Texas, and now that I have I'm not in a rush to get back.
5. I don't have my ears pierced and don't plan to pierce them.

@Siblynika‌ where were you stationed? I was in Yuma, then moved to Twentynine Palms, then managed to get a spot at NAS Atlanta, which was home already.

I miss it and considered going back in many times, but DH isn't military and his career can't pick up and move, and now that we have a LO I can't imagine leaving him for deployments.

1. I'm 23 (24 in July) and I still have 3 baby teeth. My new dentist was shocked.

2. I have a year left on my degree, but my promotion I got last summer wouldn't work around a school schedule so I had to postpone finishing it.

3. I started working for the Forest Service the day after my high school graduation. It was the best job I've ever had and I miss it terribly.

4. Today is mine and DH's first wedding anniversary. Our first year of marriage has super stressful with my dad being in and out of the hospital for four months (starting the day after our wedding) and then having open heart surgery, my uncle passing away on my birthday, me getting put on bed rest for 7 weeks, my grandmother's alzheimers getting worse and then dad had a seizure last week...I seriously need a calm few months for our sanity.

5. I have quite a large collection of books. Last time I counted it was getting close to 300, give or take.

1. I live in the same city that I grew up in. I will ( hopefully) never leave. I only live in the next subdivision.

2. I knew in grade 7 that I wanted to be a teacher. My grade 12 chem teacher and I didn't see eye to eye and I told him I would take his job away from him someday.

3. I am the oldest of 5. My youngest brother is 10 years younger.

4. I met my husband when he was my good friends boss. I was so drunk I remember meeting him at her wedding but do not remember dancing with him. Good thing he called me a few months later.

5. I love school supplies and stuff for my classroom. I am a little obsessed with buying clicky pencils.

Was it her 3rd DUI or did she do jail time in lieu of costs and fines? That's a long time to be locked up for a DUI. even with a refusal, it's like 3 more days or so. That's PA law, so I guess other states have stricter penalties.

1. This is the first Spring in 3 years DH and I haven't gone to Japan to see the cherry blossoms.

2. I got married at 18 and it wasn't a shotgun wedding.

3. At 17 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.

4. My honeymoon was at Disneyland because we'll always love that place.

5. My degree is in Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science but I wish I had studied Immunology.

@blue_elle I was in Lejeune. And then DH got stationed in Cherry Point so I've been stuck in NC for awhile now. It's tempting to go back in sometimes but ultimately, I think getting out was the right call in my case especially with LO now.

@RedSaffron I'm actually not from there but my dad was stationed at an AF base in a tinytown below Sapporo for 6 months or so he always spoke fondly of the country. DH and I both wanted to go so badly we went one year and totally fell in love! That is so cool you will be taking your LO! We were thinking of trying to take DD in 2020 for the Tokyo summer Olympics. Have you been to the Studio Ghibli museum? We loved it and want to take her there.

But really the sakuras are the best part! Not to mention the sakura soft cream they sell at all the shrines/temples!
