Thumb suckers come in

Talk to me about your thumb sucker. How do you plan on breaking the habit and when? Everett is a thumb sucker and he seems to be doing it more and more and now I am worried about how to stop it! I can't just take his thumb away like I could if it was a binky. Anyone else have any thoughts, ideas, or have been through this with another child?

    I agree with Tamara, This age is really too early to "fix" it. Let him do some growing and learn other forms of self soothing before taking his thumb away. This could also be a phase where he does it more in extreme for a bit, then calms back down. Or not. But either way, deal with it later down the road.
