Paging my LB @Brittnic531‌!

It's my turn I guess. It's been a rough day.

Ok, so my high risk OB sent me to L&D on orders to admit me for severe blood pressure. It was high when I went in and then it sky-rocketed in an hour.

As of now, it's for a minimum of two days. I have gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension. I am double high risk now. Which means I will deliver or be induced between 37-39 weeks. They are giving me shots of steroids in my buttox for the baby's lungs. However, her vitals are stronger than 30 weeks which is good.

Worst case, they are monitoring me for Preclampsia still and I get to pee into a bucket for 24 hours. If they rule it in, that puts me at triple high risk and they will keep me until 34 weeks and deliver baby girl before or by then.

I am actually feeling quite calm and happy to know that Annaliese is big enough to survive and that I am in good hands.

I'm also booooooored. Thanks for listening :)

Super long update #1:
So I'll still be here two days minimum as of now. BP is still high but is being managed. It was triple digits earlier. It really shook me up. Especially because of my doctor's reaction!

My potassium and iron are low so they gave me massive horse pills to take twice a day. I received my first steroid shot in the buttox (Fucking ow). That is for A's lungs to get stronger in case I go early. Her ultrasound and heart rates were great today. She is a little chubby for 30 weeks, 3 lbs 13 ounces, could be the GD but could be that I make big babies :) GD numbers are good so far but the steroids may throw them off... Cross your fingers that they don't :)

On a personal note, I have mentioned that one of my sisters is getting married this weekend and I've been struggling with this for awhile (she bailed on my shower, tried to pick my due date as her wedding date, her fiancé is an entitled, violent ex-offender, etc). I can't go to the rehearsal dinner or wedding now at all. That being said, she came straight to the hospital when she found out and we had a nice heart to heart and I talked her through a few issues (it's the big sister and therapist in me). So that helped a lot. Funny how things work out right?

Thank you all for your support ;) It means SO much to me! @Brittnic531‌, thank you LB!!!

2nd update: I have mild Preclampsia paired with gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension. They are keeping me through the weekend to monitor my blood pressure and glucose numbers. They will hold me longer if they get worse. They will continue the steroid butt shots just in case they need to deliver too early. Looks like we will take it day by day :)

3rd update:Happy Monday! This is my Ashaliese update (Ashley+Annaliese) I just spoke with a high risk OB, Dr. K, My BP numbers put me in the range of severe Preclampsia. They had to up my BP meds today. It makes me queasy but a nap helped me. It is not safe for me to go home because I am at high risk for a stroke because I have no history of high blood pressure.

They will have to deliver Annaliese by 34 weeks (May 13th). If my symptoms get worse, they will deliver her beforehand. I am doing well with the news and I feel better knowing that I am in good hands. I will continue to give you any updates as they may come up! Just keep your fingers crossed and prayers coming that Annaliese keeps cooking well and that my blood pressure stays stable!
