Hi there all- feeling pretty great overall here. The only thing that's bothering me is some really persistent abdominal pain- feels like sharp muscle soreness- and some RLP. I don't think either of those are worrisome but damn are they annoying, especially while trying to get comfy at night. I am also very lightheaded these days, and get a little woozy sometimes just moving my head, but my BP was very low to begin with and the OB wasn't worried about it aside from the usual precautionary measures like getting up slowly and taking my time moving around. I think I have felt baby move for about a week, but today I really got what I think was a first good hard kick. Can't wait for DH to feel it too!

@Allison7 I am really struggling with nursery ideas- my mom has been collecting Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit stuff for my future child since I was little, so I feel like I need to use it, and it's really very cute. In that case I would use a couple of the classic Beatrix Potter colors, which are like the pic I attached (probably green and blue for accents/walls etc). The more I look at it the more I like it.
On the other hand I also like a more modern and versatile look with chevron stripes with a safari theme. This appeals more to my sense of style but frankly could be used for our guest room and I'd probably be just as happy.

    What do you ladies think?

QOTW: This is so hard! I'm with PP though, grandparents come to mind first, especially my maternal grandmother who died months before I was born.

How far along are you this week? 20w3d - half baked! Yay!  A/S went well last week.  Before the appointment I was pretty calm and overall had an attitude that I just wanted to make sure the arm wasn't growing out of its head or something.  But a few hours after it was over I was getting teary eyed with relief that they didn't have any concerns. I guess I didn't realize how much I really was worried about the results!

I'm still Team Green, but my DH is not.  I really wanted it to be a surprise but he wanted to find out so I compromised and they told him and he's going to surprise me somehow! When I find out I'll share how he surprised me and what it is.

Any appointments or other updates? No appointments for another 4 weeks. Also, they let me know I wouldn't have any more ultrasounds unless they suspect there's a problem.  Good to know - I didn't realize that.

QOTW: You can meet anyone in history (dead or alive) and talk for one hour. Who would you like meet? @Allison7 I like your grandparents idea. Maybe John Lennon, would be interesting to hear his thoughts on music and life.

@Lizarella82 - Beatrix Potter is really cute!  Maybe you could go more modern with the furniture in the room?  Or do the Beatrix Potter now and something more modern when they are a few years older.

My OB appt last week was good, had some protein in my urine so I had to do a 24 hour urine collection that I turned in yesterday. I also had blood drawn to check for pre-eclampsia so hopefully I'll get those results at my appt tomorrow and everything will be ok. My MFM appt on Monday went great! My little girl has doubled her weight and is now 14oz. Baby boy is 1lb 3oz. The CMV labs I was worried about only indicated I'd been exposed to it in the past and the dr didn't think it was during PG since the girl's intestines didn't show up as bright as they previously did. Also, her blood flow looked great for having a SUA and her heart looked good, but this time baby boy's arm was in the way so we still have to do the echo. Thanks for asking @Allison7!

The babies have been moving a lot and DH likes to talk to my stomach to try to make them move. They don't normally respond, but maybe that's because he uses funny voices that probably freak them out. lol

19w6d...half-baked tomorrow! I felt Baby Girl's first movement/kicks yesterday morning, strong enough for DH to feel, but really nothing since then which is sorta freaking me out. Sigh. I have an OB app't next week which I think is the anatomy scan, so next week's checkin should be a little more interesting!

QOTW: I'm with @liz4paws‌ - I would love to meet DH's father. He died ten years ago from cancer, and I only met DH in 2009. DH misses him more now than ever as we prepare to start our family, and I'd love to meet the man who had such a profound effect on him and really shaped who he is.

I really can't believe I'm graduating from 2nd tri. OB appointment last week was great...I passed the 1 hr glucose test and I'm negative for anemia. Mr. Baby is 45th percentile, about 2 lbs, head down and looking perfect! Placenta previa is also resolved! I feel very, very lucky.

Hi, I had the growth ultrasound and fetal echo today. Gracie did great on both, heart looks good and she weighs 1lb3oz. MFM was happy with her size and we go back in 4 weeks for our next ultrasound. I feel pretty good but need more insulin by the week so figuring out how much to inject with each meal is a challenge.

QOTD: I would like to meet my husband's grandfather. He passed away long before I meet my husband but was very special to my husband.

Hi everyone. I'm half-baked! Our A/S went fine - both girls were doing perfectly. The placenta previa is still complete however it's not centered over the cervix and the MFM said that made her optimistic it might clear. I've almost been two weeks without bleeding from it. OB is letting me work part time and then rest of time is on the couch. Strangely, despite the fact that things are going better (no bleeding, A/S fine) my anxiety went through the roof since Saturday - I've had anxiety problems before but they've been under control but now they are back in a scary way. I think it's the isolation of bedrest, on top of the various stresses. I'm going to talk with my OB about it and also try to find a decent psychiatrist.

I see my OB next week and MFM in another three weeks.

QOTQ: Hmmmm ... on bedrest I've been listening to a class (thank you itunes university) on world religions, and I think I'd like to meet the Buddha.

I'll be 15 weeks on Friday. We saw the twins yesterday at my ob appt and the tech guessed that they are boy/girl, and I'm really hoping she is right :) I had a little bleeding all weekend but nothing showed up abnormal on the scan. They think it might be related to the lovenox I started taking on Saturday for a clotting disorder. Im 14 weeks 4 days, the babies are measuring 15 weeks, and my body is measuring 21 weeks. No wonder I'm starting to feel kinda big. :) cervix is holding up- measured 3.4 at Mondays appointment, so that's good!

I think I'd like to go way back in time and meet the roman emperor Augustus. Or Julis Caesar. I love that era and I think it would be cool to hear their views of the world.

    Hi girls!

@allison7 thanks for the shout out! I cannot believe I'm in the third-tri. The beginning of the pregnancy dragged so slow and now it's flying by. I try to cherish every moment and this is our last little one and my last chance to experience pregnancy.

I haven't received my sugar test results just yet but that test was worse than I remember it being! Yuck! On the plus side, because I'm 36, I had ANOTHER ultrasound (#10) on Friday. Baby was trasnsverse (as I expected) but everything looked great. I had to drag DD to the appointment with me and she did great. That was reassuring as she will have to attend many NSTs with me!

QOTW: I never met my mom's father, so I think I'd like to meet him and get to know more about that side of the family.

Thanks Allison for the great check-ins, it was fun. I'll see you girls in third tri :)

Hey ladies! We are 14w 4d today. MFM apt is tomorrow, but we are only expecting a quick check in. I do have some questions for her regarding weight gain and workout routines. I feel like I strained a muscle right by my hip and it doesn't feel like RLP, so I'm hoping she can help with that too. I'm counting down the days to our 18 week ultrasound! QOTW - I would love to either meet my paternal grandfather who died before I was born, or talk to my maternal grandfather. My MG was an amazing man from what I hear about him, and just what I remember. I feel like he would have been one of those people that would always give great life advice.

    Hey ladies,

I am 17 weeks and everything is going good. My appointment last thursday went great. I met one of the OB's in the practice and he answered my question about if I had to have a c-section because I had a laparoscopy. He laughed and said no and explained the reasons why I may have to have a c-section but to plan on having a natural birth. He also explained that the midwife I met with is just that a midwife and not a doctor so that's probably why she said that. He took the time to answer all of my questions so I was happy. We listened to LO's heartbeat and it was at 158. I typically get 150's to 160 on my home doppler so that was right on track.

Next appt includes ultrasound which is on 5/8. We are staying team green and I've actually become more comfortable with that decision. I get a lot of questions as to why and are you really sure, but its something my DH really wants so I will support him.

QOTW: My mom was in a foster home as a child and she had a woman who called her mom, she'd be one I'd like to meet. Oh and my step-father's dad because he died not long after my mom and him started dating.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Good Morning Ladies! I can't believe I will be 27 weeks on Friday. Where has the time gone?! Nothing new to report. All is going well, besides for the typical aches and pains that go along with the growing belly. I think I am officially done with the gym. I can barely walk on the treadmill anymore without feeling like I ran a marathon. I have a check up tomorrow and get to have a doc appointment every other week now which is awesome! The weeks are going so fast, and there is so much to do!!

    Hope everyone is feeling good!!

Hey ladies, so nice hearing everyone's great updates!

20w today! Half baked! Finally had my a/s on Monday... I literally burst into tears in the first 2 minutes of the scan when I heard both heartbeats. Esp for baby B. I wasn't feeling his flutters as much as baby A, but The tech said its because Bs placenta is anterior which was a relief.

The only concern, was that baby As umbilical cord placement is higher up in the placenta, and the mfm said that SOMETIMES it may effect growth. But he rly didn't seem too worried and said as long as she's measuring ok then everything is fine.

I have an OB appt on the 29th and then another u/s with mfm in a month.

Qotw : I would go with a religious figure as well, I couldn't narrow down the list to just one though.

    Hey ladies,

I am 25 weeks, 3 days and now pregnant with a cauliflower? Lol

I don't really have anything new to say...baby Bennett is becoming more aggressive with his kicks! I think I felt an actual body part the other night, not just little thumps!

I had my appointment with the new ob's office on Monday and I think I liked them. It was very much just a basic intro appointment and they just checked vitals and used the doppler to hear my little stinker in there. I met one of the midwives and she seemed nice, but we didn't really have any deep discussions. My bump is measuring exactly what it should be, so that's good news...maybe he isn't the giant I feel like he is! Haha!
I go back on May 7th for the dreaded sugar test! I hope I pass because if I am stuck just eating vegetables and meat and drinking water, I will probably starve for the next 15 weeks or so!

QOTW: I'd probably want to talk to my maternal grandmother. She died when I was 9, so I did meet her, but I would love to just hear her voice and smell her perfume again. Her death hit me hard even though I was young at the time.

Loved reading everyone's updates. This is the best check in group I've ever been in!

Nothing new happening here. Starting to feel some flutters but all is quiet. My anatomy scan is next Thursday. I'm trying to just enjoy this pregnancy and my big belly - which is making the rest of me look skinny! I'm like - look! I have a flat belly! Finally no rolls!! Also, after these 2 my husband says no more so I'm trying to enjoy it even more so. Although we have two frosties and I said no man left behind!!!

@LSN8308‌ did you find out what you're having? Is one a boy?

@Lizarella82‌ - can you do a mod peter rabbit nursery? The GAP had a cool peter rabbit collection last spring and pottery barn kids does it every Easter? Maybe you can get some ideas there? Could be super cool.

QOTW: this is a monster, fabulous question... I'm going with Abraham Lincoln...would love his take on the world as it is now.

    Hi ladies!

@Allison7, as always thanks for a great check-in!

I'm 22w5d today and these little girls are kicking away like crazy. DH actually got to feel B's kicks last night and wanted to try to feel A as well but given she's kicking me square in the cervix, that would be a bit difficult. We did get a laugh out of picturing him trying to feel her though.

We finished registering on Sunday and I "think" we got everything on there we needed. Invites went out on Tuesday and shower is set for June 7 at our house. I'm a bit nervous about there being so many people at our house, especially since we are banking on nice weather to have it outside. It will be what it will be though I guess!

QOTW: I'd love to talk with my godmother again. She passed away from breast cancer when I was 13, and I'd love just one more hour to talk to her about my career in cancer research and tell her about the twins. Some of my favorite childhood memories are with her and getting just one more hour would be incredible.

Hi ladies! Yay another week passed! DH and I met our new OB this week and we love him! He has a great personality and great outlook on delivering twins! I'm so very happy that we were referred to him and he delivers at the hospital of choice! I was able to ask about my leg pain and he said it's because of the growing and it isn't hurting the babies, just me. So that's a good thing. I have my glucose test on May 2nd and I have an ultrasound next week. I am only 24.5 weeks but I'm measuring at 28 weeks so hopefully that means the babies are growing great!

Hope all is well with everyone!

I will be 16 weeks tomorrow.....where does the time go?!?! I have my monthly OB appt on Tuesday and I'll have an u/s to see peanut :) my A/s I'd the following Tuesday. My sister is throwing us a gender reveal on 5/10 so we won't be finding anything out at the scan :) it's been 3 days and I'm feeling little peanut move about :) it's the strangest feeling!! To me, it feels like a small rolling pin going across the inside of my stomach. The rolling is mainly in one area, when I sit a certain way, and has gotten stronger and I feel it more as the days have progressed :) QOTW: Easy. my maternal grandmother, for sure. She died when my mom was 20 and I was named after her. Everyone has always told stories about how wonderful she was. I have always felt connected to her and wish I would have had the chance to know her.

I asked for u/s and other tests to see why we weren't getting pregnant, doc just kept giving me meds and telling me to go to his church for a "laying of hands") Stopped all monitoring/testing/temps, etc, Sex became a chore and we started to grow apart. At 12 mos I decided to look for another doc. 02/2013 consult with new doc....3 days later testing began...u/s, all good, HSG: all good, labs: all good, ovulating, etc. Started on Pregnitude. 04/2013 failed attempt for SA, 05/2013 failed attempt SA. 12/2013 SA: 3% morph, abnormal functionality. @jaykb123 before graduating, RE suggested seeing a MFM among with my OB so I made sure the OB I had was on board with referring me to one, because some don't think MFMs do anything different than they would. But definitely insist on seeing one especially with a high risk pregnancy and/or multiples. Good luck!

@LeoLauren‌ thank u! 5 minutes into the scan when I saw both babies hb n looking healthy I said ehh I don't want to know anymore, but DH wasn't having that lol and I know he would blab so no point in only him knowing and not me. FX for a healthy little princess!

@jkayb123 - I didn't ask to see a MFM. The practice around here seems to be everyone goes to MFM for nuchal and then A/S, and then if you're having twins (at least for fraternal) you start seeing the MFM every month for growth scans. But you could certainly ask your OB about it. I also imagine that things would be different with identical twins or other complications of pregnancy

Lil late again! I'm 25w1d. Not too much to report. He's just kicking like crazy and sleeping is starting to get tough. Laying on my side is giving me hip pain and I'm definitely taking more A.M. potty breaks! My one hour glucose test is on Monday. I hope it goes well - I've never had a problem or anything before. We decided on the Chicco Keyfit system for car seat / stroller combo. This was after a friend recommended so I hope it was a good pick b/c we have no clue about any of it! lol Still deciding on nursery furniture... Think we'll have to pick something this week if we want to ship it in time!

Hi ladies! I keep checking in so late! I am doing well. Will be 27 weeks on Wed! Baby boy is doing well, kicking around as I type. I have been having some dizzy spells, especially while working. I think the 12 hour shifts are just becoming a lot for me. I'm not sure what a good resolution will be since I can't exactly afford to not work. I'll just keep hydrated and eat frequently, hoping that will help!
My next OB appt is April 30th where I will have my glucose test and rhogam shot. my first baby shower is Sunday the 27th! eee!! I am excited/nervous. I'm not looking forward to being the center of attention.
I hope you ladies are doing well and if you are having a rough week then I am sorry and hope things improve for you! ((HUGS!!))
