Where is it located? DD got a cool mist humidifier for Christmas and I have it on the adjacent wall facing the crib but my MIL says it does no good since the mist doesnt not "land" over the crib area. The instructions do not say anything about location, but I can't imagine that the mist is suppose to spray directly on a child. Maybe I'm wrong, I have never used a humidifier. What do you do?
Re: If you use a humidifier in DC's room...
We have ours across from the crib but facing way away from the crib. You don't want the mist hitting the bedding or the baby which can chill your dd. The bedding could probably even get damp if you aim it directly at the crib.
I have a little gauge that tells me if the room is humid or dry and whenever I turn it on it goes to the middle so I think it is working without it being pointed directly at him.
My son's is at the head of his cradle but facing away from him because I agree that I can't imagine it's great to have it spraying right on him. I think the goal is to saturate the AIR surrounding your child - not the child - lol!
Take note also, I find that it makes the room a bit colder since it's "cool mist".
