Hey Ladies!!

So NIAW is almost here, and I thought it might be nice to share what ideas we had for spreading the word on social media?

I am one to be a little 'modest' with my FB posts, and while I won't be coming right out and speaking about my struggle, I still want to recognize it and share it.

SO...I plan on posting the following picture, quote and link:

    I am out to a few of my closest girlfriends, parents and siblings...but nothing beyond that.

    I should add...I plan on waiting to post that until Monday, since Sunday is Easter.

    jszy10 - I may copy just what you wrote and post that on FB. I think that is a great way of putting things without really talking about your own struggle. Thanks!

    @SamanthaLaura16 -- steal away!  I have been pinning various IF posts for awhile, figuring I would eventually find something that I felt was safe enough to post...this seemed like a winner, and the quote came from another pin that I just didn't feel as comfortable posting.

    I had a co-worker approach me after I pinned something on pinterest about infertility.  It really is nice to feel support from those you see every day.  She has been a huge help with learning about procedures and costs.

    Here is a link to last year's blog post of mine that chronicles everything I posted on FB for the entire week of NIAW.  Call me lazy, but this year I will probably doing a lot of copy paste and stealing from others as last year was great for NIAW in my mind.  It has at least one post a day, and several days had more than one - and as always I say "Feel free to steal!" As word gets spread best by taking from others.  


    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)

    calindi -- I get the same advice from my Mother...and I have learned to just accept what she says and take it with a grain of salt...because I truly believe she just doesn't really understand what's going on.  She, or any of her sisters, never had issues with pregnancy, so I do understand how she can associate it with me being "impatient".

    On an unrelated note...did you call to set up your phone consult with CNY yet!?  I am hoping to have my phone consult with them in May as well (assuming IUI#6 doesn't work)...do you think I should call now?  I plan to start the process in June for a hopeful transfer in July.

    Me, too. I am only "out" to my two aunts (one isn't even on fb) and my two bffs and one other friend. I will post something, but only visible to close friends. It's a small town and I don't want there to be talk, especially not with my pill of a MIL. I was thinking of posting a different picture or statistic or both each day.

    I am considering posting something but maybe not so up front. I am really inspired by what everyone is planning. I am so frustrated when I think about insurance coverage and I think that's the biggest reason I would post. Hopefully i can find some courage this week. We're only out right now to a very small number of people.
    PCOS Dx 2007. 
    Married 2011. 
     TTC 2013. Anovulatory. 
     Medicated Cycles 
    #1: clomid (50mg)= no response 
    #2: clomid (100mg)= BFN 
    #3: clomid (100mg)= no response 
    #4: clomid (100mg) +ovidrel = BFN 
    #5: clomid (100mg then up to 150mg) = no response
    #6: IUI #1 follitism (4 days 100iu=nothing injection pen not working, 5 days at 150iu and 15iu HCG + ovidrel) = BFN
    #7: IUI #2 clomid (100mg)+ ovidrel = BFFN
    #8: IUI #3 letrozole = no response, follitism + low dose HCG + ovidrel = beta day June 24th!

    I'm trying to think of something to post that helps to spread awareness without fully "coming out" b/c there are some family/friends that would drive us crazy with unsolicited, unhelpful advice.

    ME: 34, Atypical PCOS (lean, no O without meds) + unexplained; DH: 33, mildly low motility
    09/2012: Start TTC after stopping NuvaRing.  No cycles seemed to occur.
    01/2013 - 05/2013: Tried Provera to "jumpstart" cycles. No luck.
    12/2013-     01/2014: Clomid 50mg - no big follies, stepped to 100mg; One mature follie, Ovidrel (HCG trigger), IUI #1 completed - BFN
    02/2014: Clomid 100mg;     One mature follie, Ovidrel trigger, IUI #2 completed, Crinone - BFN
    03/2014: Clomid 100mg -     no big follies on 1st round, 2nd round prescribed; One mature follie, Ovidrel, IUI #3 completed, Crinone - BFN
    04/2014-05/2014: Letrozole 5mg + Ovidrel HG to prep for IUI #4 switched to TI, Crinone - BFN
    05/2014-06/2014: Letrozole 5mg; one mature follie,     Ovidrel, IUI #4.1 completed, Crinone - BFN
    07/2014-08/2014: Letrozole 5mg; one mature follie,     Ovidrel, IUI #5 completed, Crinone - BFN
