Does your OB measure your stomach at every appointment? I just realized I haven't been measured once yet. I'm pretty sure it was done at every appointment during my last pregnancy.
I was 2 days shy of 24 weeks at my last appointment and they didn't measure me. I'm hoping to have a new doctor before my next appointment. We'll see if they do it. I thought in the beginning maybe it was because my belly wasn't that big but it's definitely measurable now.
So far, no. But this ob office sucks ass. With both my other pregnancies they started measuring at 12 weeks- I think that was when I popped above the pube bone. 23w2d right now.
Just had my a/s yesterday, am 21 weeks today. I live in Switzerland and it is so different from my other pregnancies (all in the USA). Here, appointments are more spaced out 5/6 weeks. At each appt you have an ultrasound. Then you go in to talk to dr and sit in his office. He doesn't even do a physical exam, unless you bring up a problem or concern. I'm sure they get measurements from the ultrasound, though.
Was measured for the first time at 20 weeks. I don't remember when they started with DS1 but my memories are scarred by constantly being reminded how huge I was by the all male OB staff.
No-my old midwife used to measure me every time. I asked the doctor about it and he said that he has a good sense of where the uterus should be at each appointment. If I am way off he will just pull out the ultrasound machine and do a quick measurement.
I haven't been measured or had any kind of physical exam yet. I just figured it was because I've had an ultrasound at each appointment...8 weeks, NT scan at 12 weeks and anatomy scan at 18 weeks. My next appointment isn't until next Monday, which will be 24 weeks. I'm really wondering what she'll do at that appointment and hoping I won't have another 6 week break in between appointments next time!
I haven't been measured yet. My last appt I had an u/s so that could be why since baby was measuring on track. I have my 24 week coming up on Monday, so maybe they'll measure then.
I've been measured at all of my appointments except the first, so starting at 12 weeks. I had been measuring a bit big, but it wasn't a concern. We found out why after the a/s though, I have 3 uterine fibroids which are making my uterus grow bigger than usual (fortunately there isn't a concern because of where they are located & lack of symptoms). At my 20 week I was measuring 4cm over normal. They said they will be keeping a close eye on things from here on out though.
No measuring at all. But I haven't had much of a bump until the last few weeks, so I figured that was why. My last appointment was at 20 weeks and we had the a/s at the same time, so baby got measured.
I haven't been officially measured yet. At my last regular appointment (18 weeks), she did mention where the top of my uterus was and said that they would measure soon. My appointment Monday was my anatomy scan at the high risk doctor, and they didn't measure there, but I think they were just focused on the ultrasound.
