He is so grown up.. He has mastered waving. Usually at lights, the cat, or strangers but he's never going to have stranger danger because he just wants to touch everyone's faces. He would (if I let him) just wave them over to rip off their noses. #sweetthensour
That's exactly dd too! Our kids would have a great time touching each others faces!
@Emilyraymond After you attach your pic, click on it. Choose insert image. It flips it and makes it bigger. Took me a long time to figure it out

AWing pics of my girls from the weekend. The first is a collage of a mini mom-tographer shoot with Emmy in our front yard. The second is a collage from Cady's first t-ball game.
I haven't posted an HDBD in a few weeks - but this week is extra special. For those that don't know, my mom is in the hospital in LA at Cedars Sinai - she is awaiting a heart transplant. She has been on the list for 4 years in Portland, OR, and because of her rare antibody count, she hasn't received a heart. They flew her to LA because Cedars is one of the best hospitals in the world for transplants, and they do 3x as many as they do in Portland. They are also world renowned for their approach to rare blood types - and mom will be participating in a clinical study that should help her and other in her situation in the future.
She has been in the hospital for 7 weeks, and we were told no visitation from the baby. Mom and Dad have only met Max when he was 6 weeks old. Somehow...she was able to get special approval, and Max and I went to LA this past weekend for a "Compassion visit". It was amazing. They had so much fun together. And Max turned 7 months! Here are a few photos:
::sniff:: something in my eye, @flutterby00, must be allergies. Wishing your mom all the best and how great that you guys got to visit! I am sure she was over the moon.

It was very special. And could be the last visit for a while, because after she gets her heart her antibodies will be desensitized and leave her very vulnerable....so really no visits then! But soon enough she'll be chasing after little Max, have to look at the bigger picture!
Want to guess what put her in this situation!? Her doctors forgot to give her the RhoGAM shot after her C-Section with my little brother. Sounds like now lots of people try to refuse the shot if they are done with having children - this, right here, is the reason to never refuse it!!

@Flutterby00 I tried to refuse it and they said it was standard. I didn't realize it could cause problems other than with a future pregnancy. Hope things go well with the transplant.

Yeah, it causes abnormal antibody counts. It's the whole reason why she has been on the list for so long. Otherwise, she would have had her heart years ago. Be so glad that they gave you that shot! If you ever need a transplant of any kind, it will make it so much easier on you!
@flutterby00 Sending your mom lots of good vibes. The pictures are beautiful and I am crying at work - good thing my students have all left
As for the rest of you ladies I can't get enough of these babies. This is my most favorite day of the week, I know I say that every week, but really HDBD is the BEST!!!
