  I've killed close to a dozen of these damn things over the years.

  Also, if this isn't mud, I am so heartbroken for you that you can't see the issues with this. You were cheated out of a childhood. No 14 year old is ready for marriage, and if you can't see that I really feel like you were indoctrinated by your family and a pedophile to think this is OK.

  If the age of consent in Alabama is 16, and she was 14, married, and TTC with a 26yo, how is this not statutory rape?

  This was my first question. So your parents can just sign a piece of paper making it alright for a grown man to rape you?
  
  Because it is rape. You were not old enough to make that decision, which is why you needed your parents' permission, and were taken advantage of by a grown man.

  OP, if you really are in a healthy relationship now, regardless of how inappropriately it began, have at it. A 12 year age difference isn't a big deal, but it is when the child is 14. Just please don't put up with things just because of tradition or that's how it used to be.

  This is not what I expected from in an intro thread. This just breaks my heart to read something so F'ed up. I have to say that a grown man married to a 14 year old is really off to me. You said this isn't MUD but my heart just prays that it really is a made up story.

  I'm a little shocked at the "kudos for making it work this long" comment. Do you think she'd really have a choice to leave if she wasn't happy in the marriage? I'm disgusted by both the OPs husband and parents. They robbed this OP of her childhood. No 14 year old can make the choice to throw their life away at the behest of a grown man and now she's sucked so far into this life that it's all she's ever known, and thinks it's totally acceptable. I feel so sorry for her.
  
  I know our comments won't change anything, but the fact that in the United States, in the 2000s (because let's not forget this took place in like 2001-2002) this sort of thing is legal is beyond me. I'm so disgusted, I can't even.

  I mean, OP had to know the "13 years" comment would stir up some commotion. A big part of me thinks this was for attention.
  
  I don't know. It just seems like MUD to me.

  I knew someone when I lived in TX who got married at 14 but they were BOTH 14.
  I'm a Christian and I believe it is within my Biblical rights to cut off the balls of a 26 year old man who has known sexual thoughts towards my beautiful baby girl (at 14). I can't even fathom the kind of mother who would allow that. It's not the age difference that bothers me, it's the age itself.   My DX- Hypothyroidism.  Prescribed Synthroid

  DH's DX- Severe MFI- first SA results: 1.3 mill (1.2 mill motile), 21.6% motility, 2% morphology

  Blood test revealed low testosterone so DH was prescribed Clomid.  Repeat blood test and SA in November.
