Have you ever met anyone famous?

Re: Have you ever met anyone famous?

  • I met Hilary Clinton, Rick Santorum, Chris Meloni (Law & Order SVU), Penn State football players who went pro (Mike Robinson, Matt Kranchick, Zach Mills), several NASCAR drivers
  • Loading the player...
  • I can't think of any celebs that I've actually "met," but I've had several fun sightings.
Dikembe Muntombo - man, is he TALL! (7'2"!)
A Wayans brother, maybe Shawn?... still not sure which one it was but people were going nuts.
Jon Gosslin (does he even count as a celeb?)

Oh wait, I've said hello to Wayne LaPierre.
  • @llmg0715‌ jealous of you meeting Jordan Knight totally married him in my dreams

OhI always forget that I cleaned Bobby Engrams house one summer. I worked for a cleaning service and he was a client. I didnt realize I was in his house and couldn't believe how Penn State and Seattle football obsessed the homeowners were until I saw his Biletnikoff Award, lol. I cleaned his house for the rest of the summer and he, his wife and his kids were adorable and very nice.

@Citrusfamily‌ I looooove Siena! My friend married an Italian man and he's the manager of agricultural operations at a vineyard in Chianti, so they live on the vineyard grounds. Siena is the closest "big" city to them, so every time I've visited them we have gone there. It reminds me of Florence, but smaller. And yes, I just love Tom Hanks! He's great in everything from Big to Forrest Gump! And you're not so bad, yourself! ;)

My favorite was Sandra Bullock at a Ruby Tuesday's. She was with Jesse James then. She is INCREDIBLE nice!

I hung out for a little bit with Harrison Ford in Maui. That was wicked cool

Also, brace yourselves, Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block.

Working at Mignon Faget in NOLA I meet Harry Connick Jr. (wicked handsome) and Angelina Jolie (total jerk).

How long ago did you work at Mignon Faget? It was one of my favorite places in NOLA.

Chad Michael Murray, went to his house in college. I still can't believe I did that. Also Michael Jordan! I asked him for a picture to show my students! Haha I've also met a lot of emo/punk bands that probably not a lot of you have heard of so not to famous I guess.
Ahhh Chad Michael Murray... this whole thread is making me a giddy 13 year old... and a little disappointed in my complete lack of celeb run ins...

  • @emandia I love Nikki Sixx!! My favorite of Mötley Crüe!

    No.

    Yeah, I didn't think so. :)
  • Wisconsin is a big hole that sucks out the fun...lol..I live in the middle of nowhere so for me to meet any real celebrity I would have to go somewhere big.

But I have met the guys in Better then Ezra. Haha..and got pictures with them. And another band that played with them.
And a couple years ago me and DH went to see a Japanese punk rock band called Shonen Knife and we met them. I'd be surprised if anyone here knew them. Lol. But DH was so happy! He loves them. A band of 3 Japanese woman! :) They are good too. It was fun!

Heres a picture of him with them :)

  • The highlight is Davy Jones from The Monkees said 'ello! to me when he was performing at an amusement park I worked at. He is tiny in person! But he was so nice to everyone.

Queen Latifah gave me dating advice.

Dharma, from Dharma and Greg told me I had a big head. Well, not exactly. We were in an elevator together and she asked me to move my head so she could read the sign behind me. I thought that was rude.

The guy who played the oldest brother from Party of 5 is a total douche. He came into Restoration Hardware when I was working there and was like, oh, we're from Hollywood, do you have a store down there?
    8-|

And I have sat in the front row of David Alan Grier concerts twice (ten years apart) and chatted with him. We saw him last year when I was pg with DD and he incorporated us into his routine. That's what my DH gets for growing a 'stache!

@queenbone Is that Matthew Fox, (who is also in Lost)? I know he was in Party of Five..I never saw the show but Im pretty sure he was the oldest. It makes me sad--I loved him on Lost but there have been so many bad stories about him and what a jerk he really is. I think he supposedly cheated on his wife and I read some story that he punched a lady in the face or something. I've even seen other people who worked with him on Lost say hes a shitty person. :-<

I never watched Lost, but yes, you are right it is the same person. I didn't realize that. oops! This was probably 15 yrs ago when Party of 5 was still on tv. I knew who he was at the time, but in the interest of respecting his privacy while helping him at the store I didn't bring it up. I guess he wanted me to make a big deal over him being on tv or something.
