discharge....

Mine is so bad I'm wearing regular pads and using Vaseline... It's so frustrated.

    Vaseline? What for?

I get fluctuations of cervical fluid and consistency day to day -- if it gets bad I'll just use a couple panty liners throughout the day but I hate sleeping in them because it just feels.. too moist down there.
Back in the day, pads for my periods used to give me what I called diaper rash at the time. I figured that's what OP was referring to.

OP, I think you're making the moisture situation worse with pads and Vaseline. Just use liners and change them as needed. Wear breathable underwear and pants. It helps if you can avoid pantyhose. A little cleaning of the area and some air drying each day can help a lot too. Sounds weird, probably, but it works.

  • I'd use coconut oil over Vaseline. That at least rubs into your skin like lotion and will help clear up any irritation.

The vaseline was suggested by my ob. She explained as a buffer so the discharge didn't stick to my skin. Which was a massive problem for me. It was wicked acidic and was irritating my skin. My Doula mention coconut oil today I think I mat get some.
