I can't wait til we finish this case of diapers. By then LO should be big enough for his bumgenius 4.0. I'm so done with the poop blowouts and having to change twice in 10 minutes because of his randomly timed poops.
I just had a minor freakout because C hadn't eaten from my right side in a few hours but it wasn't all hard and engorged like it usually gets. Apparently it's normal...kellymom to the rescue! I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't google every tiny thing.
I asked my mom how she managed to raise two children without the internet. Thanks to you guys, Kellymom, and Dr. Google I feel fairly confident that we can handle this parenting thing.
My H is in Boston today for a conference... and everyone and their mother is also there for the 1 year bombing anniversary. He said the roads are closed all around where he is so he can't even leave early if he wanted to. Which is probably bugging him since he knows I was cleared for "physical activity" this morning. :P (We were being good and waiting for the doctor's clear.)
It is nuts up here (down here?). I'm not looking forward to the traffic getting home later. We're debating going to the marathon on Monday. Thankfully not downtown, we will probably go somewhere along the route. Boston is going to be bananas all weekend I'm sure.
It's been over 2 hours since B ate. An hour ago I was at my wits end with her crying. So I put a coat on her, put her in the stroller, and we've been roaming the subdivision for an hour. Now were back home, and she's asleep in her car seat. Not screaming.

Holy shit where am I. Whose baby is this.
Motion and fresh air can work wonders. Hopefully it will keep working for you!
We have not taken LO out for any meals yet. But what were planning for the first time is to go down to the waterfront area and get fish and chips from a place that has outdoor seating so we can sort of pick a spot on the outside a little and scram if needed. I was also thinking friendlys because there's a million kids but then I'm worried about LO catching anything. I don't know if that's a good idea or if we should just rip the bandaid off and go to an actual restaurant.
I'm going to throat punch my mom. While I was at work she offered to warm some breastmilk for DH to feed him. He usually ears 2.5-3 oz. she warmed 5. He stopped eating at about 2.5 oz (no shock), DH went outside to smoke, came back and the bottle was empty and mom said "see I told you he'd finish it!" Then 2.5 hours later he woke up so she fed him another 3 oz (DH said he wasn't even acting hungry). She also keeps talking to him while he's sleeping and waking him up. She came down because she's on spring break (teacher), but I'm about to send her home.

I need to add to this. Despite the fact that we went out this weekend and bought more tommee tippee bottles to help with the bottle-breast combo, my mom has only used the medela bottles we were using previously, and she has a tendency to feed him like a ff baby and not pace his feeds no matter how many times we tell her. I don't think it's a coincidence I have to fight him to keep him latched longer than 3 minutes.
Ugh. I swear if my H tries to tell me one more time what to do with her i am going to lose it.
She is crying, so i wake him up to take her. Did you try feeding her?, changing her?, burping her?. No- i just decided to say screw it and hope for the best.
Seriously?
Never mind he is getting to sleep on his day off. When he should be on baby duty.
I seriously should get a hotel for one night and make him do it all by himself.
DH was gone for almost 18 hours yesterday for work. I think everyone in the family had a rough evening, but thank goodness the babies are making up for it by sleeping like champs tonight. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little closer to the normal schedule.
One of my FB friends is currently live Facebooking her daughters 2 month checkup, complete with photos. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a play by play of the shots.
I just...don't understand the excessive over sharing.
Raccoon traps are set and we are boarding a pair of hounds until this damn chicken murdering raccoon is taken care of! True sign your a red neck: at 7am you know who to call to borrow a pair of coon hounds, and they are delivered within the hour!
Anyone else ever feel like you're just playing house? Some days it doesn't seem possible that I am married, own my home, and have this beautiful little boy. Like all of a sudden things are going to go back to "normal", whatever that is.
Yes! I always say that. It's as if I expect to just wake up one day as teenage me who just daydreamed about having this life. I think it's because I wanted this for so long, it's hard to imagine it all came true!
Small victories- I'll take them! Trying to wean LO off the RnP, and also trying to not set a bad habit of needing to be nursed to sleep... Put him down for a nap inthe flat PnP at 12:30, he wanted to nurse beforehand, but only did briefly, sure enough he woke back up within minutes, and was wide awake and fussy. Right before it got to full scale crying, he fell back asleep (on his own!) at 1! Yes! Still sleeping almost 20 minutes later!
