online research is my business. when you know what you're looking for, it's pretty easy to connect the dots. and as I happen to be trying to get hired right now, I'd like to keep my online presence discreet.
... except putting any kind of profile picture other than the generic bump one doesn't equate being able to find you in a Google search.
also
1) we all remember your old sn
2) your new sn is the same handle as your twitter... so much for privacy there.

lol. what a BAMF sleuth.
it was SOOOOOOO hard. it took me HOURS to figure it out. *sarcasm*
Way more than foot in mouth there. I was watching her before but she's on everyone's shitlist now. Insensitively cruel comment + no (real) apology + calling us hormonal for calling her out = post it big time
I'm so glad she mentioned Google. I NEVER would have thought of that.
You know the cupcakes in my avatar pic? They're actually tattooed on my forehead. If you do a Google search for 'girl with cupcakes tattooed on her forehead, you're immediately taken to a link of all of my TurboTax returns and detailed financials. Google Maps also pinpoints my exact location at all times due to those damn cupcake tattoos.
But hey, that's the price you pay for waking up naked and confused in Panama City one spring break.
OP, this kind of bothered me a bit, too. I know it's the internet, I've been on it for over a decade. I'm well-versed in what goes on. I just expected a little more out of moms and moms-to-be. I guess I was too naive.
it does kind of grind my gears that when you have an opposing view, someone will not only express their view, but will ridicule you for yours. I wish discussions could be more like discussions and less like arguments, and a lot of times, you get that! it's usually on your birth month board (at least it's on mine.) but when I don't get a respectable debate, I just don't respond to the negative posts. try exercising the same and you may have a better experience on TB.
you must not read or write a lot, @cruelsound.
here's my philosophy on it all: if we met at a cocktail party or whatever other social setting, face to face, would you still be as snarky? the internet is a unique medium, but I try not to take advantage of the aspects of it that melt away simple human decency.
Because your comments on S14 were FULL of human decency.
Ha! I'm terrible at finding links (maybe someone else can?) but her FFC was that she doesn't think women with C-sections should be allowed to claim they gave birth, because they didn't. She was toooootally cray-cray. It came out that she would never, under any circumtance have a c-section because that's not how God intended it and if it should ever come up that she might need one, she and her husband would just 'trust in God' instead of getting the C-section. Seriously.
ETA: And don't forget @gachimayaa. I totally think you're worse than THAT lady. That takes some real effort.
Since when are threads closed for no good reason? (ETA: referring to the mother's day thread).
Also, I had a coworker (when she got pregnant) that said I didn't give birth because I had a c-section. Bitch ended up with a c-section.

I hate to do this but I ALWAYS laugh when this happens. I mean I would never wish a scary delivery on someone, or a delivery where baby is at risk, but when this happens it's the biggest dose of KARMA!
@gachimayaa I think it's hilarious you are looking to remain anonymous yet your Twitter handle is the same as your SN here and you have your blog linked to Twitter. Your blog has photos of you as well as family members. Good job.
@gachimayaa : gross man. You make me sick. As a mother to four (two on earth & two in Heaven) I am presenting you with a shower of middle fingers. I have been a mother since my first positive pregnancy test.
It's not anyone's fault that my other two kids didn't make it. It's douchey to say that a pregnant woman is not a mom yet.
But guyz. She clarified what she "really" meant on her BMB.
Link?
Can't link from my phone but it's in s14 and it's titled "a clarification"
Love it! I can't decide what I love most about it - the fact that she apologises and then takes it back in the very next paragraph, or the fact that she's been "berated" all over the Internet. Honey, if this keeps happening, maybe YOU'RE the problem.

OP there are a few select lurkers on the 2nd tri board. Some of whom aren't even pregnant, but have lots of helpful experience and insight. They were here before I entered my 2nd tri and remained here now that I've moved on. I suggest that you just stick to your month board and just ignore this place if it bothers you. Luckily they aren't going anywhere, anytime soon. It's the Internet and they can do what they want!
Seriously!!!! Some people I just look at their comments and go really?? If people don't like what they see.. Click the back button NOW lol
Also whatever happened to if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all??
Sometimes I panic about ridiculous stuff and call my sister. Sometimes my sister tries really hard to tell me to calm the hell down, but sometimes she just busts out laughing and says "Joy, what? STOP IT."
I liken the stupid posts with snarky answers to my sister in those situations. Sometimes, you have to be told you're being ridiculous. It's really for everyone's benefit.
EDIT: I'm finding the OP's name to be incredibly hilarious.

It's because people have no lives, that's all. They try to make themselves feel better about their pathetic situations by anonymously insulting and belittling other. They're just cowards who have unrealistic superiority complexes. I posted a couple times as a newly pregnant woman, eager to learn and find information. I soon realized I have better and more positive things to do with my time. Now I just read information on here as well as elsewhere and laugh at the sadness of the insulters. Feel good that you're a better person!

Re: If you think someone's post is ridiculous or stupid or whatever... Why not just ignore?!
And also, it IS possible to have a totally unique AND anonymous avatar and siggy. Many many posters do...
