Just found out last week we are having a boy, so I figured it is time to venture to this board! I am much more of a lurker on TB, but I like reading input from people on names--so figured I would ask for some.

My fiance and I randomly came across the name Felix the other day when we were looking at John Cena's Wikipedia page, and it is one of his middle names (so random, but I think it's kind of funny how it stood out to us and how we discovered this name). Hopefully if you are a Cena hater, it won't sway your opinion on the name--I don't even like him that much

I think it is hilarious that we like Felix, because we are also fans of the name Sylvester--and both are cartoon character cats. Weird.

The baby's middle name will definitely be Alonzo, as it is a family name. So, Felix Alonzo...what are your thoughts? Any horrible nicknames you could think of that could come of that name? Also, thoughts on Sylvester, because that may be a contender?

Thanks for the input! I must admit after watching "Total Divas" I don't like him as much as I used to, but seriously, it's John Cena. I also can't believe I admitted to watching that show.

They are both all cat to me unfortunately. If I had to choose one, I would go Felix, but neither are my style. Sorry!

I don't watch Total Divas but keep in mind that show is just as scripted as WWE is.

That is the one thing I keep going back to...I love cats, but crazy cat lady status may go way up. Yikes! Thanks for your opinion.

I love Felix, it was on my list.

I really like Sylvester, but it's just a GP name for me, I wouldn't use it IRL.

It's my son's name. We get a lot of compliments on it. Although I do love the name I've had a really hard time getting used to it on my little guy. It doesn't fit an infant imo, but will suit him just fine once he is a toddler and beyond, I'm sure.

I love Felix. I do have a cat association, but I think it would be quick to get over. I think it has a great flow with Alonzo. Not a big fan of Sylvester.

Alonzo is a great mn and goes nicely with both names.

Felix is okay, but not my style exactly. I'd like it on someone else's kid just fine.

I really like Sylvester! I posted about it a few months ago. A few people hated it, but most people really liked it. It might be a love or hate name.

Felix is at the top of our list - 1st choice for DH - so that definitely gets my vote.

I originally mentioned the cat thing to DH when he brought Felix up. He had no idea what I was talking about. He actually chose Felix because of Felix Leiter from the James Bond tales. DH is a HUGE James Bond fan. *sigh*

I love Felix and it was at the top of my list if we had a boy but DH vetoed (as he does with most of my names!). Not a fan of Sylvester but love Alonzo for the middle or even first name spot!
