Gradually collected bits for it since about 28 weeks, but formally packed it at 35 weeks. Now i just need to write a list of things i can only put in on the day (makeup, snacks etc) and put it with the bag, so i don't have to think about what's missing when it's go time.

So after seeing the poll responses last night, I decided to at least pack the baby's bag - mission accomplished. I feel like half the stuff I want to bring to the hospital for me, I use all the time. I may be scrambling around before heading to the hospital.
M14 January Siggy Challenge: Resolution I have no intention of keeping...SHOPPING LESS!
I picked 36 weeks because there wasn't an option for not having done it yet. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow and plan to do it by the end of the week.
The trouble I'm having is not what I need, but what season I'm packing for. I live in NJ and I'm not sure if I should pack for 80 degree weather or 60 degree weather.
You ladies are inspiring me! Maybe I'll get more in my bag by this weekend. I've had a list written for awhile, thinking that DH could pack for me in an emergency, but I'm sure that would be less than ideal! Plus I've been so sure that this baby will be late like my son that s/he will probably be early just to show me who is in charge!
With DS, I didn't pack it until I was in labor, in between contractions. I have not packed one yet this time and don't plan on doing it any time soon, as I know that all I need is a pair of slippers/flip flops for the hospital, an outfit to wear home, an outfit/blanket for the baby, my contact lens solution/case, my glasses and a phone charger. I could pack one in 2 minutes if I needed to, and that's what I did last time.

I packed my bag on Sunday after weeks of list writing. I've got two bags one for labor, music, robe slippers hot/cold pack, water bottle, massager (trying to go med free), and a towel cause I hate hospital towels. And one for post partum, baby outfit blanked clothes toiletries and such. I'm keeping the labor one in my car at all times in case of emergency and the other bag will be in our entryway for my hubby to grab if need be. I guess I'm officially ready for baby.... NOT.

The hospital will be climate controlled, right? So figure on 70* for indoors. For going home stuff, layers. A light jacket, t shirt and yoga pants for you. Clothes for the warmer temps and a receiving blanket to drape over baby in the car seat (don't put it under the straps ala Will and Kate).
I put 36 weeks because I have my showers this weekend and next. Hope to get a diaper bag so I can pack my LO's going home outfit and other essentials. Have to get my car seat hooked up in the next few weeks as well! I have a backpack with a few things just in case of emergency but I hope I'll have plenty of time to pack everything, I'll be 34 weeks this Friday.
Packed mine and babies yesterday. I would have probably packed earlier but not to many of my clothes fit right anymore so I couldn't pack it early since I needed my clothes.
After reading this entire thread and thinking there was great advice about taking your bag with you to OB checks, I didn't listen! Went to the OB today. BP was high, protein in my urine. Sent straight to labor and delivery. Now I get to rely on DH to pack my bag.
With DS I packed mine on the way out the door. Most of the stuff I use on a daily basis so it can't really be packed away. I put the rest aside for easy access. Still only took 10 min to get it ready.
I started my bag and one for DD at 30 weeks (I'm expecting twins so you never know). Went in at 32+3 for a NST and started contracting every two min. Was sent straight to L&D. DH grabbed the bag for DD and gave her and it to a friend and grabbed my bag and came to the hospital. I'm glad I had everything ready!
