  I'm so sorry! I'm in the same situation with Penelope. She has been in the nicu for 12 days now and it breaks my heart everyday! I also have a 2,6,8,13 yr old at home and I always feel like I'm neglecting something. Why is he staying? She is there cuz she is refusing to drink a bottle!   How hard do they have a day they think he might get out?
  I was discharged only one day before DD had to leave the NICU and I cried the whole way. I can't imagine having longer to wait or not even knowing an end date. Sending positive thoughts!

  I am in the same boat...my daughter has been in nicu for 14 days...and have to wait until she cues to feed...she's starting but it's very slow going. They said the same, it's up to her. I'm hoping it'll start to click this week but we will see. It's so hard to leave her each day and go home without her. I just think about her when I am home and pray she can come home soon. Good luck mama...

  My son has been in the nicu fot a week. I've been home since last Wednesday. It's hard I totally understand. I'm not cleared up drive and dh went back to work so it's hard getting through the day. But I remember it's the best place for him right now and we will get through this. Hugs to you. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do I can't imagine doing it with another child at home.
