I can't stand my DS's father. He's useless and makes decisions on what he wants for himself, not what he can afford. He just moved further from his job to a place where rent wasnt as cheap because he didn't want to rent a room from his mom anymore & wanted to live with cool people. This couple he is rooming each have kids from other relationships they don't have custody or even visitation for.
Ex already struggles with CS and his car payments and complains he has to get up so early to see DS on his visitation days (once a week, I keep trying to give him more but he "works five days (45 he's) a week and needs his own time") which he picks DS up at 10am, and he moves an hour away versus the previous five minutes.
I get it, not wanting to live with mom, but his decision was not wise and it pisses me off as to how it might affect his son.
I woke up when my husband came to bed at 2 and didn't fall back asleep until my alarm started going off. I am sooooo tired. And my coworker is offering me an energy drink. It's very nice, but no, I really can't.
I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for breakfast, followed by my prenatals, probiotics, and fish oil. The heartburn that has since ensued has me belching uncontrollably. Which would be fine if I didn't have a meeting here at work in a half an hour. And I'm so dried out, constantly. My nose, my throat. I wake up all gakked up in my head and cranky. I try to drink water to stay hydrated. But drinking water just gives me more heartburn.
Also, it was beautiful out this weekend and all I wanted was an ice cold Miller Lite beer. My husband makes fun of my beer choices (he makes his own craft beer--we have a kegerator, which is a beautiful thing), but sometimes there's nothing like a frosty Miller Lite. Waaah.
Me: 42, DH: 40; Surprise BFP 4/27/2011; no heartbeat at 9w3d, we miss you, Baby Manatee; D&C 6/1/2011; AF returned 6/26/2011; Ready to try for our take-home baby. 7/24/2011--BFP! Peanut born March 2012; BFP: 7/31/2013!; blighted ovum at 7 weeks 8/26/2013. Holy Cannoli! BFP 2/23/2014. EDD 11/6/2014!
Yesterday was DD's birthday party. My brother in law and his gf, who she adores, said they would be there. Never showed. Never called. Did the same thing last year. She will get over it, but wtf?
We met up with our friends this weekend and I said to DH "should we tell them?" We won't see them for a few weeks other than when we help them move into their new place. Not saying anything then because that would be shitty to tell them on their big day.
then dh said "why would you want to tell them first? Remember last time when they weren't even happy for us and you almost didn't even want to be friends with them?"
ugh.. so it makes me wonder why we are even friends. which pissed me off. sadly I feel like they are more like acquaintances now and we only get together because are daughters are the same age. I doubt we would get together much if at all if we didn't have kids. Makes me sad since they were our maid of honor and best man Life sucks sometimes I guess
I'm still laying in bed (830 here) because today is my late day at work. I know, not much to bitch about, but I know the moment I move, three things will be competing for my attention. The urge to pee, the dog's urge to pee, and my desire to not vomit before I get those two things done. Here goes nothing......
This is not a bump it's bloat! Why is this so hard to understand? Not that I expect anything less from US Weekly.
I read this over the weekend and thought it was funny and annoying. This plastic lady from Real Housewives of Orange County is due in November just like us and already has a "bump". Is it just me or is her blump being accentuated by her possibly puffing out her stomach, too?
Because where the hell is it written that a bump is defined only by the size of a fetus?
Hell, even at 7 weeks your uterus has doubled in size. The bump/showing is evidence of a pregnancy. Since some early November folks are at 11 weeks already, I think it's bogus to act like your body can't really be changing at that point. Every other post here is about pants not fitting, bras not fitting, etc. I don't care how much is bloat vs ute growing vs fetal growth, it's all caused by the pregnancy so let's find something real to worry about.
Do any of you use the Cartwheel app at Target? It seems like, right up until I got my BFP, all the maternity clothes were 40% off on that thing. Now, they're never on sale. I paid full price for black maternity pants yesterday!! (Sorry, I'm EXTREMELY cheap. I pretty much buy everything off the clearance rack.) On the upside, I love these pants. I think I might continue to wear them after I'm not pregnant anymore.
Because where the hell is it written that a bump is defined only by the size of a fetus?

I agree, but I do think that chick is arching her back and pushing out...
I'm really really craving the whopper Easter eggs! But I'm stuck in class until 3 today... And then I have to go home and study my butt off because I have a chem test Wednesday. I can't study tomorrow because I have class until 11 and then work 2:30 to 10! Woohoo. So ready to be done with school.
I'd like to third (or fourth) the allergy WTF. I hate that it's super nice outside, but I have to stay indoors or risk not being able to breathe. All I want to do is take DD to the park and let her run off some energy!

Yeah, I agree with that too, but wouldn't you if someone were putting your picture in a magazine? Hell if I want a picture during this maybe just getting chubby stage.
(Mostly it just seems to be a bump thing to shame people for showing enthusiasm about these changes, and that bugs me)

Was this directed at me?
I'm not saying our bodies aren't changing, but even at 11 weeks the baby is still barely above the pelvic bone (if at all). Certainly not high enough to make you have a "bump".
Here's a diagram to show how the baby, not bloat, is actually changing our appearance by week.
I have a terrible cold, afraid it's going to turn into a sinus infection....I feel enormous and I'm afraid to weigh in at the dr Friday! If Lydia's already telling the world, does this mean I can announce to my friends this weekend at 11.5 weeks?!
Often when you have already had a child (or multiple) your body will get bigger faster. It remembers. So while the baby might not even be at a point where you *should* be showing, you do. Some of the HDBD pictures we get here of second and third (or more) time moms are pretty evident of that. I'm even starting to notice my body changing sooner this time. And that's when I'm not bloated
@Maelara definitely agree with that just think it's silly when people so early on, esp in that pic, are forcing the issue of showing. But there are many other things wrong with that RHOC wife
I second the WTF weather. I was pretty good about not complaining all winter, but I've reached my breaking point. It's the middle of freaking April, it was 80 yesterday, and now it's supposed to SNOW? Are you KIDDING me??
My second is that this wait time to tell people is going sooo sllooowwww. I know, I shouldn't want to rush pregnancy, and enjoy every moment, blah blah blah, but I'm DYING to tell people.
I'm on child #5 and I have something going on that's more then bloat. I've not gained any weight either. But I also have a big uterus, according to my MW I guess carrying 4 huge babies does that haha.
I am positive penny today! I'm even taking the day off from policing the old threads! But I mean really, who am I kidding? Even after my fabulous morning I do love a good bitchfest!
DS (just turned 4) came home from school and apparently swiped a little girls chap stick that was green tea tree oil flavored, the little girl told him its for your eyes so he smeared it all over his eyes and they were burning. Lovely.
I'm also with the ladies that are having allergies problems! Driving me crazy.
My hormones are driving me INSANE!!! I have sudden urges to flip out at DH for the smallest things, luckily I've been able to breath deep and calm myself down thus far. I cry over everything!! Oh your 8 weeks pregnant, baby is the size of a raspberry - and here come the tears. A country song comes on the radio - more tears. Went shopping and saw a "Little brother" shirt - TEARS!! I'm starting to feel like an idiot walking around with watery eyes all the time!!
Holy swollen feet batman!! My husband and I built a dog house yesterday bc we are moving to a bigger home with a yard. It was so nice to spend time together but at about 5pm my feet became little sausages and the swelling still hasn't gone down! I don't want to be at work right now. Would it be bad for me to lay on the floor to put my feet in my chair?!
So yesterday I was at my second job which is only part time (not sure why I still have it) and my MS was non-existent and the cramping had gone away so I was like score my symptoms are starting to dissipate. Then at 4 I was getting ready to leave and big old cramp (so close). Go home and lay down I’m watching a show and about 7 get the urge to pee. When I’m done I look at the toilet paper to check for blood and there was my eyes a lot of blood on the toilet paper. I look down at my underwear and there was blood on it and in the toilet. No one has explained to me what exactly is meant by heavy bleeding as in is this amount something to really worry about or not. So in my eyes as a FTM at 9 weeks it’s a lot and I go to the ER. They do the tests and say everything looks good, numbers looked good, the heartbeat was strong, the baby has grown well since last time, not sure why I was bleeding but to call the doctor in the morning.
So after I get back to the room from the ultra sound my mom is with me and she looks at my underwear. She goes ‘you know this looks very similar to a quick period bleed that I used to get sometimes when I was pregnant with you kids. It’s just your body getting used to not having a period and or the baby getting rid of excess stuff it doesn’t need at the moment.’
If someone would have just explained to me what exactly is meant by heavy bleeding and not just a you’ll know it when you see it I could have skipped a trip to the ER at 7pm on a Sunday night. On the bright side though I did get to see the baby a little further along with a defined head and body and what looks like little arms and legs.
This is not a thing I have ever ever ever heard of. "Baby getting rid of what it doesn't need"? No, a new lining is made each cycle, so it's no like it's "left over" from the last one. Maybe it's normal for you and your mother, but not for pregnancies in general, I think. "Spotting" is not a "quick period". If you thought there was "a lot of blood" then that's probably not spotting. I would have been at the ER if that happened to me, and this is my 4th.
ETA: I'm relieved to hear everything looks okay.

Assuming all women and pregnancies are exactly the same, sure, but a uterus rising 6 inches means something else gets pushed up and out. If you're say, 5'1" like me, that can have a bigger impact than it might for a woman who is 5'10" (and a million other bdy variations). I just don't get the need to lecture people that they can't possibly be having a different experience than some textbook image suggests.
8 yr old DS climbed into bed with us last night because he was having nightmares. I spent the night wedged between him and DH in our queen sized bed. I'm so exhausted!

I am so tired today! I ran a half marathon Saturday morning. The race was pretty great, my husband got a new personal best time, and I felt pretty good at the end. But since then I want to do nothing but sleep. It wiped me out. I went to bed before 10 last night and didn't get up until after 6 then slept for another 1.5 hours after using the bathroom. And I am still very tired.
Then for lunch today, I went to Wendy's. I haven't had Wendy's in a very long time. Those fries are delicious! I am now upset that they are all gone. I am debating going back to get more. I won't, but I want to!
So tired. And having an impossible time getting motivated to do anything. This week is my last week of classes ever, yet, I cannot focus long enough to finish a simple 5 slide PowerPoint presentation. Ugh... Let's just hope this lack of motivation goes away in time for me to study for finals! 3 more weeks and I am done!!

I'm definitely not lecturing - but I am bitching (hence the thread) about the particular US Weekly forced "bump" picture. And if you say you have a bump then I'm sure you do and I'm not going to argue about it - but I do think there's a fair amount of women who have posted here claiming bump when it was really bloat (i.e. Could it be twins!??! posts were pretty funny)
Mine is also a weather bitch. It was 86 degrees yesterday and today we got snow. I'm ready for summer. We could also just skip tornado season this year too.
