What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theater? How did it go?

First movie I *remember* seeing is Bambi. Fuck that shit. I was with my friend (a boy who's name escapes me). We were about 5 or 6, and we bawled when his mom died. I was traumatized. I've never watched that movie again haha
ETA: I don't remember the first movie I saw in theaters. We were more "watch at home and save money" people.

The first movie that I remember going to and enjoying was the Little Mermaid. We have 5 kids in my family so going to the movies rarely happened.
ETA: Google tells me it was Star Trek IV, and it came out in 1986. Who takes a 5 year old to a Star Trek movie? Maybe it's why I hate Star Trek anything to this day.

I don't remember anything about the movie, but I had taken my favorite stuffed animal (a Siamese kitten) into the theater with me and accidentally left it there. By the time we remembered and went back to look, it was gone. I was devastated and was really upset about it for a looooong time.
I love that movie!

Nope, I just haven't looked for it on Netflix. I've seen snippets on TV, but I always stop watching because I do want to see the whole thing at once. Sooo, I guess I do have a reason: Laziness.
ET is awesome and baby berrymore is so cute, you should watch it.
