Dh and I will sometimes joke about how parenting should have levels and achievements, like a video game.
Last night I unlocked (finished, for those who don't play games) a new achievement-- I got both children bathed, in bed, and asleep ON TIME, with no crying and spitting up (DD) or crying and tantrums (DS).
I failed to unlock the "two kids in a photo with the Easter bunny" achievement yesterday. DS was afraid of it.
What achievements have you guys unlocked? Have you gone shopping with child(ren) alone? Have you gotten baby to sleep somewhere other than your arms?
Remember achievements can be big or small! Share what you've done lately.
We took all 3 kids to our old college this weekend to a scrimmage football game. Everyone had a blast... Even baby was in a great mood! We even ate out for lunch and dinner. I was very proud of us!
I dropped my baby girl off at her daycare for the first time ever and didn't completely screw up the eye makeup. I anticipate this will change at some point during the day, but for now I'm declaring it a parenting achievement. I also only arrived 14 minutes late. How many gold coins does that get?
My rule is that you get 15 minutes free PER CHILD. So you weren't late at all.

I brought LO to Costco, alone and on a weekend. Only to discover his first massive poop blow out... And no extra outfit! Survived, and got my groceries bought.
Also learned a very important lesson about never borrowing from the diaper bag.
I picture this game to look like the original Super Mario cuz that's all I know
We went out to dinner with both kids and had zero tears AND DD1 ate her dinner without a tantrum or bribes. We earned an extra life since we did it without resorting to electronics.
This morning LO and I finally unclogged the ducts that have been super swollen for the last two days (I consider it a joint effort, cause I needed his help!) I was scared it would become mastitis.
We made it through our weekend outdoor antique show. (DH and I sell as a side business.) LO did not get sunburned! (DH and I did though...)
And, we successfully transitioned LO from a RnP to bassinet to sleep this last week. I feel like I found a hidden level!
"Elsie Irene was born sleeping at 35w 6d on December 8, 2012. Mommy and Daddy miss you sweet girl."
Yesterday my DH was on his way out with us to church when he got paged since he's on call. BAM! We are now out here alone! It was like Sonic and Tails... Mario and Luigi... Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong... Me and DD1 handled the thing! We went to church and I only managed to spill a little bit of powered formula on the floor while making a bottle. This would be the first time since she's been born DD2 woke up on church.
Then we hit up the market. I pushed the cart and DD1 pushed the stroller. She lost is points because she ran over the back of my ankle with the stroller but DD1 redeemed the points by pushing the stoller and feeding DD2 a bottle at the same time without any accidents.
High score... A complement in line about how helpful DD1 must be with the baby. Instead of her usual scowl DD1 smiled sweetly while I engaged the lady "Yes, she's been such a big help, I'm so thankful!"
I'm a sinner saved by grace and a child of the Attitude Era (Oh you didn't know?!?)
I survived the first public meltdown. DH, MIL, LO and her great grandma all went out to dinner and LO lost it. She was tired and just not having it. After some fussing I got her to relax and stop crying. I am sure I thought it was worse than it really was but I survived! Oh and I survived my MIL's weekend visit. That is a whole other accomplishment!
We made it to church yesterday and back home without having to nurse (not that I mind at all!)! Also, failed at getting boys to nap in crib Saturday so took them shopping and they slept the whole time--3 hours!

LO and I flew to visit my parents. I was super nervous about flying with him by myself (during his typical WH!), but he was a perfect little angel. He slept during the first half of the flight, woke up to eat, and then just chilled on my lap. Everyone around me kept commenting about what a perfect, calm baby he was. Good thing they weren't around when he threw a 2 hour long fit once we got to my parents' house! At least we survived the trip without a hitch :-)
-once at my cousins grand march, I was nervous because they left most of the lights on so I just put the cover over me and did it. I kept talking to my family and they said they didn't even notice
-also at church, my older kids were singing so I didn't want to miss it.. I was freaking out inside but now I feel a little more confident
I'm very nervous about nursing in public so this is a huge accomplishment for me.
We went on a 10 day vacation to Israel and My LO did amazing on the 4 hour drive to NY, the 11 hour flight and the 3 hr drive to my MIL's house both times!! Every other baby on the flight cried most of the time but my girl is a champ!!
I accomplished nursing in the car, blowout diaper in public, and shopping by myself with LO all this past weekend! I think I definitely scored some mom XP!
Watched all 5 kids at the YMCA family fun pool and lo nursed while I waded w dd. Unlocked the: NO one even almost drowned. but may actual just got a BSC badge because really! Lol

I unlocked "multi-tasker"...I breast fed LO whilst blow drying and straightening my hair, just propped her on a cushion on my lap, sat cross legged on the floor and dropped a boob into her mouth. Thought she might be bothered by the hair dryer but she was hungry and couldn't care less as long as there was a boob in her mouth lol

I unlocked the "picky eater" badge by getting healthy dinner on the table every night last night that DS1 ate (and he's the pickiest eater ever!)
I also unlocked the "traveler" badge. We traveled to Southern NJ from CT this weekend and survived a 5 hr ride home in traffic. Wooh!
Talk to me after the next two weeks though because I'm home with the 3 year old and LO all day. Eek!
