About 4-6 weeks ago we rescued a bluetick coonhound from the shelter, we had been wanting a large outside dog, and we fell in love with him. We have two other dogs, a female, and another male and until today, I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I let my Boston outside to potty, and mind you he is really old and nonaggressive, a big old pushover... then I hear barking that is out of the normal for our bluetick, he usually has a playful happy bay, but this one was aggresive, I literally threw my laptop on the couch ran outside, and our bluetick had our boston pinned down and I had to pull him off... he didn't hurt the other dog, but that is sooo not the point... we have had the other two for years, and I know their behavior and I definitely know my boston did not innitiate this incident... both of our males are neutered, our female is not... we have been keeping her isolated right now because she is in heat... so I am not sure if that possibly had anything to do with this outburst of unacceptable behavior... I don't know what to do, if he shows aggression to a dog that isn't aggressive, what is he gunna pull next... that could have been my 5 year old and not my other dog... I hate thinking about getting rid of him, but I am against aggressive dogs...
