  I've been avoiding having it all throughout my pregnancy and now am regretting my decision to have it... I have my bi-weekly appointment Wednesday so we'll see how he's doing...

  Things I have eaten so far this pregnancy that are on the stereotypical "shouldn't eat while pregnant list": soft serve, deli meat (both pre-packaged and freshly sliced, neither one heated to steaming because gross), soft cheese, actual unpasturized soft cheese, unpasturized cider, wine, hard cider, mimosa, sangria, tuna from a can, soft boiled eggs, herbals teas (without checking with the doc), and I'm sure I've had unwashed fruit in there somewhere. 
  
  My poor Charlie is going to have four arms and five legs, at least that's how I explain the past week of so much movement that I'm actually sore and have a bruise on my stomach...

  Agreed, never heard of the soft serve issue too! I think you will be fine. Call your doctor if you are concerned.
  
  But way to rub it in, I can't eat ice cream cue my tiny violin.

  @Lilnunz1, I didn't, but only because I dyed my hair when I pregnant with C1 and all I got from her was extra sass.  I could do without that for Charlie...I did get a mani/pedi in an all but unventilated room, though!

  @achang531, in all seriousness you are fine.  The danger to baby only happens if YOU get sick with listeria.  If you feel fine, your baby is fine.  It will not hurt baby without you feeling ill first.

  I drove 20 minutes to get a Wendy's frostee last night. My baby was in greater danger of getting run over by a train on the way there then getting listeria. Relax. Also, my neighbor used to own a mister softee truck, I miss that shit hardcore. Vanilla in a cup with hard cherry coating and rainbow sprinkles baby!!!

  Addendum to my earlier post - like most delicious things here in NYC, soft serve is best served as a street food from a food truck. Who has time here to walk INTO an actual soft serve establishment and wait in line for that nonsense?!

  I thought soft serve was like 90% air bubbles? I don't think air will hurt you but I do think there is much better ice cream out there. Or you could get nachos....mmmmm nachos.

  Maybe I'm just in need of some caffeine, but I am not getting the concern. Especially at 32 weeks. OP, have some more ice cream. Have some delicious, delicious ice cream.
