    C is spending the weekend with her grandparents so we can get her new room painted. I am taking dh to see divergent, so excited. I also can't wait to sleep in on Sunday, though by sleeping in I mean getting up for breakfast and to pee and then going back to bed, but I'll take it!

    Velociraptor all the way.

    I took today off, I am laying on the couch and don't intend to move much until I have to leave for my massage this evening, woo!!

    I'm finally getting a manicure and pedicure tomorrow! My feet need it so bad.

    Tomorrow night is a benefit for my aunt who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer back in October and is now in the end stages. I've been a crying mess about it all morning. It's like admitting that her end is near and she is saying bye to everyone.

    I'd say the velociraptor would win, although I think it would be a tough fight.

    We are digging up part of the yard and putting in a garden and by we I mean DH will be digging while I watch. We were planning on working on landscaping all weekend but Colorado weather has decided to give us snow on Sunday so we have to get it all done on Saturday.

    I am so jealous of everyone who is having their showers this weekend. I have one in Oregon on the 26th and then a super small one here on May 3rd.

    My shower is tomorrow... thrown by my in-laws.  I feel like it is not about me at all, but more so they can be like OH! We threw you a shower! How nice are we?!?!  I don't know anything about it... I haven't had any say.  So there will probably be 1 million games, all of which I will be the center of attention which I do NOT want.  Also, they have been texting DH all week asking little things like "Does she like this, or does she like that?" Why does what we are going to have to drink have to be a surprise? Why can't you just ask me?

    Somehow against all of my and DH's power, it is being hosted at my house, which they all are going to stay at all weekend as well.  I already don't get along with any of them well, but to have them all stay at my house from tonight until Sunday with a shower in between makes me want to cry. End of my pity party.

    I'm taking DS with me for the weekend to stay at my parents house and dog-sit while they are out if town. this leaves DH alone in the house the whole weekend and I'm already dreading the mess and the pile of dishes I will be returning home to.

    I agree with joules- one on one it would be T-Rex hands down, pack of velociraptors vs one T-Rex I'd give it to the pack to take that sucker down.

    My nephew's 6th birthday party is tomorrow, he's so adorable.  Luckily it's supposed to "cool down" tomorrow, and by that I mean it's 97* today and 'only' 91* tomorrow, and his party is outside, so hopefully it won't be too bad.


    I bought two maternity dresses online from Motherhood for a wedding I have in 2 weeks...and I hate them both.  I have a few non-maternity dresses that will work for my bump still, but are too small for my boobs.  So now it's back to the drawing board and it's too late for me to try to find anything online, so I have to run around to buy something.

    @emilyh107‌ I originally registered for the Graco jogger, but switched to the City Mini. If you're actually going to jog with it go to the CM GT. That graco stroller weighs 32 lbs and is super huge when folded, where as the city mini weighs 16 lbs and fold to about half the size. I was thinking I would jog with her but after really assessing it, I realized that I won't. Although I haven't used it in practice yet, I freaking love this City Mini. It's awesome! (And like $179!)

    I'm with @joules235 too. Depends on the single vs pack of velociraptors variable :)

    This weekend we have all of my ILs staying with us - my baby shower is on Sunday. Excited! And tomorrow morning is a play date for my doggo. It's a huge group of Bernese mountain dogs all getting silly together and it's just the cutest.

     I just took a 2.5 hour nap and it was glorious.  Now I need to find something to eat and then to decide if I really want to be productive at home today or not.

    MommyP710 - that dress is totally cute! and not too dissimilar from what I plan to wear at my shower this weekend, but mine's from Motherhood


    But what is with all the horizontal stripes for maternity clothes? You'd think they wouldn't be a good idea, but I have plenty of striped maternity tops and I like them - I used to hate stripes!

    @rastrau I would think stripes would be horrible, too, but maybe they're not cause the bump is involved? I don't know, but I'm totally rocking a striped shirt today from Motherhood :)  It's probably my favorite maternity top that I have.  Enjoy your shower! I can't wait for mineeeeeee!

    Have you seen https://www.minefornine.com/? It's a maternity rental site, so you won't have to buy yet another dress, and their shipping is super quick. I rented a dress there for Easter and got it in just a couple of days. :)

    today is trial day #1 with DS in CDs and so far I'm loving it! just changed out first poop and it wasn't bad at all. plus he's got to have the cutest fluffy butt I've ever seen! I can't even imagine a newborn fluffy butt.

    Also, random but I took a Benedryl last night before bed and my legs were out of control. I'm assuming Benedryl makes my RLS 10x worse? It was awful.

    We got the Baby Trend Expedition travel system. My bro and sil have the same one for my nephew and they really like it, which is why we registered for it. They have no complaints. Hopefully we like it jut as much!

    Lowes sells this scent you can put in paint to take away the paint smell and it is supposedly supposed to also keep the scent for about 6 months...they have a fluffy cottony one...so if you haven't painted baby's room yet...maybe you should try it??? :)

    My SIL is throwing a shower for DH and I tomorrow. I'm excited for it, but I always get anxious about being around his family. His SIL is pissed that I'm getting a shower and she didn't. Her and BIL were"getting divorced" when she was pregnant and she moved 10 hours away. Since they worked it out, both of them and their daughter moved in with the in-laws and have been living rent free. I feel like that is way more of a gift than I could ever get at a shower. I'm worried she will make it all about her the whole time though.

    My grandma managed to start more drama and I doubt I will have any of my family at my shower (besides my sisters). I'm so irritated. My mom is gone and there is no drama surrounding my baby, why are you trying to ruin everything?!

    So due to a MAJOR case of pregnancy brain, I forgot my TB password. And the password to the email account it was linked to. And i can't get that password back. So, I made a new account on TB, rather than abandoning the June Mommas. My previous username was BethMaze.

    You know how pregnancy can cause you to have some strange dreams?... Pretty sure I just had the strangest dream last night. My family was like the Duggars, in that I had 19 siblings, but we were amish or something a lived in an old farmhouse with no electricity or indoor plumbing. We did have guns though (which becomes important later on). Mel Gibson was my dad and Cat Stark was my mom. Everything was great until one day dinosaur aliens attacked our house and we had to fight them off with our random cache of guns. The creatures were like little t-rex's except that their heads would split apart, in slimy gooey alien fashion, to reveal another head with lots of teeth and poisonous stingers. We could only kill them once their heads split open because that was the only time their skin was soft enough for a bullet to pierce. Oh and it turned out that our neighbors were aliens (half dinosaur half human) and the ones that were controlling the dinosaur aliens that were attacking our house.Incase you're wondering. No, I did not watch any Mel Gibson movies, GoT, dinosaur movies, or alien movies before bed. I fell asleep watching Mad Men...

    H is the foreman/diesel mechanic for a trucking company. One of the trucks got tboned. DOT still does a mechanical inspection to make sure the truck isn't at fault. H was the last to work on the truck if anything mechanical fails he's in big trouble. He's really good at his job and won't let anything leave unless it's 100%, but you never know what has happened after it left. I'm waiting to hear how things look. I'm sick to my stomach.

    I agreed to run an errand with my mom. Not sure why I would do that, LOL. 6 hours later....

    My husband is working two jobs today so I am all alone.
