I have a massage today at 12:30. I really needed to wash my hair 2 days ago, but decided not to because I always have to wash it after a massage. (I wash it about once every 5-6 days.) I only feel slightly embarrassed that she might have to touch my nasty, greasy hair. I haven't really shaved in a while either.
Actually, nope. Not guilty at all.
ETA: I do shower twice a day, I just don't wash my hair or shave, lol.
I heard both kids awake around 6:30 and I ignored them (no one was crying). They went back to sleep. I have a bit of a headache so I took some Advil and had a bath. Ah, silence.
I gave my oldest candy on the drive to school today so he would stfu. Sorry, teacher.
Haha! We always let DD have candy in the morning before daycare. Well not every morning, but we'd rather give it in the AM than just before bed. She'll have all morning to burn it off with her friends and also not my problem.
Mine is lame: I wish "Kate Plus Eight" is still on. For some reason this family fascinates me. I think Kate is pretty insane, and I am so curious about the daily happenings in this household.
I ran out of Nifedipine (anti-hypertensive) 2 weeks ago and never refilled my Rx. I also have been taking 800 mg of Labetalol rather than 1200. I know I should call my doc and have an official med change done, but I've been lazy. And honestly, after all I went through and the poor care I received, I feel like I do a better job of managing my care than my doctors do. I just can't write myself scripts, obviously.
We don't wash our sheets or towels as much as we should.
I tell DH that I spent a lot of time each day trying to calm down DS or that he needed a lot of attention to excuse why I haven't done anything around the house. Sometimes it's not true.
Related to cleaning. I was so behind on folding and putting away laundry that I just spent an hour -- literally, an hour -- doing it and it's still not done. The laundry was sitting in a pile in the corner of our bedroom all week. I just kept adding clean laundry to the pile and pulling stuff out as I needed it. There are things in there that I pulled out & used/wore and then washed and put back in.

I'm right there with you. Since DD was born the bassinet has been on my side of the bed so I can't get into my drawers (it's a PITA to move the bassinet) so I just fold my laundry and put the clothes from the blocked drawers in piles on top of the dresser.
I'm still learning to balance LO's feedings and naps with my work (I transitioned to working from home about a month ago). The other day my boss texted "I'm out running errands- I am bringing your check by if that's okay." It was around noon. I jumped up, put clothes on (was in my robe STILL) and tidied my hair in 1 minute flat before she rang the doorbell.

I'm totally not judging you, because I understand. But to me, one of the most important things when I was working from home several years ago was to put on new clothes every day. Even if it was yoga pants and a sweater. I found that it made me feel better about myself. And I still do that, even though I'm at home till about 4 every day until I go to work -- 3 on Wednesdays.
Since the cleaning confessions seem to be so flame-free:
I haven't cleaned the bathroom I now share with DD since before she was born. I used to be so anal about it. I would seriously scrub it AT LEAST every 2 weeks, usually every week. I hate that I put her down on a towel on the floor and pick her up covered in my hair (THANK YOU HORMONES!) but who has the time? (Well...I will have the time in a few weeks when I start WFH)
@peanutmuse I can see myself needing to put on fresh clothes each day just to stay motivated. That helped on mat leave, too.
I also had a packaged Rice Krispie treat for breakfast. GAH! It wasn't even that good but I didn't feel like standing in my office's kitchen with the chatty lady and waiting for my oatmeal to heat in the microwave. I ended up making it after I pumped but my day still started with a blue crinkly wrapper.
When I finish rubbing lanolin on my flanges, I put the excess on my lips. Even if there's residual breastmilk in the flanges from the last time I pumped. (Parts stay in fridge all day)

If it wasn't for this thread, who knows when I would've washed my sheets next. It's just something I forget about. I also need to clean my refrigerator out. I have leftovers in there from weeks ago that I just don't want to deal with. I am, however, anal about vacuuming my carpets and keeping the baby's bathroom and bedroom clean.
I only put away laundry about every three weeks. It sits in a basket until then. I'm awful at it. I never match socks either. Every man for themselves in my house.

This whole house needs to be super cleaned because my IL's + two nieces are coming tomorrow for a week. Due to the GI bug running train on H and I these past three days, that's not happening. I had all these carpet shampooing aspirations..

Even though I know it's ok for me to spend money on stuff I still feel guilty since I stay at home. I've worked since I was 16 up until last April when I started staying home so I've always been used to having my own paycheck.
My laundry also sits in piles. Clean laundry is in the hallway or extra bedroom and dirty is in our room. I just don't like folding it.
The bathroom talk reminds me we are out of toilet paper.
I had to use a baby wipe this morning.
did that yesterday too
I know a man who buys baby wipes and just uses them in lieu of toilet paper all the time.
I use them on myself when I go #2. I feel SO much cleaner!
PS Do NOT flush them, especially if you have a septic!

@kellydew09 DH doesn't clean ever. We have a large house (about 3000 square feet), which I clean daily. This bathroom thing has been an experiment and I've learned that the man would live in complete filth if he didn't have me.
THIS is my H! I haven't had time to do laundry. Today he asked me when I was going to do it b/c it is the 4th day he has had to wear the same pants... umm last I checked he did his own laundry prior to me pretty sure he can throw a load in.
My FFFC is geared towards my conversation with @cnctf about our girl's eyebrows. I love everything about DD, but I know her future has her getting her eyebrows shaped for life because she unfortunately got her dad's bushy brows.
My first pp period started on Wednesday. On my way home from the studio last night, I noticed I leaked into my underwear, so I threw them out. They were old anyway. Well apparently I leaked through my pants too, because there was a spot on my (light grey) car seat that I noticed when I went to my massage. Which I subsequently forgot about until about 2 minutes ago. Guess I need to go clean that up.

Yep. Except she got MY bushy eyebrows, not his (the makings of her unibrow are already apparent). If not for my mother taking pity on my hairy hairy self as a child, it would have been sad. She didn't shape them until I was much older, but she granted me shaving privileges when I was in 4th grade because I got made fun of--and she plucked my brows in between so there wasn't uni happening.

I use my lanolin as lip gloss every day! It's the bomb. I'll probably keep buying it and use it as such even after I stop BF!
@ashleywiz same nightmare too, my mom would shape my eyebrows in grade school. If only we were born with perfectly shaped eyebrows like @cnctf's DD. Haha.

DD and I watch it every day too! LO looks like he watches, but really starts smiling when I sing to it.
