    FFHPC (Flame Free Harry Potter Confession): I only own books 4-7. I borrowed the first 3 from a friend and never bothered purchasing my own.

    Also, I showed Reese the first Harry Potter movie. She LOVED it. I can't wait for her to get older to give her the books to read :)

    I loved book 6 and it was my favorite movie. I'm pumped to battle this issue out when we get to it.

    I am just starting book one now! H wanted to show DD the first movie and I just really wanted her to have the book experience first. I have seen all the movies but never read them myself. We are only on Chapter three now- she doesn't have a super long attention span for chapter books but she loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Can't wait to nerd it up with all of you!

    Dude, I'm a fast reader but lately if the options are read or do one of a million other things like sleep, eat, clean...I'm on TB.

    Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - 107,253 words
    Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - 190,637 words
    Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 257,045 words
    Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 168,923
    Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Approximately 198,227

    Basically the first 3 books are about the same size as Order of the Phoenix.

    Yes! I've never read them and I've been looking for a good excuse to start. I'm glad I won't be the only one reading them for the first time. My DD1 is almost 7 I wonder if she would be into them too.
