I'm sure you all have heard about that lady who left her kiddos in the car while on the job interview. I understand there could have been a different ending to that story, BUT, she was in a job interview not at some crack house getting high, she is trying to better herself and help her children. Not everyone has a support system and instead of sending her to jail social services should have stepped in and offered to help her more. Give her shelter, a childcare option so that she can go look for work so that she can get on her own two feet so that she can provide for her children. I think she had poor judgement right there but I think all those that judge her have not walked a day in her shoes. There I said it lol flame away

@2010weddinggal‌ This is the first I've heard of that story, but I agree with a lot of what you said. We spend so much money on jails and prisons, but there has to be a better way. How about some sort of group hone where people with questionable parenting decisions can receive supervision and guidance. Sounds better than separating a family without a history of abuse/neglect.

I've got two today! First, I refuse to read/post in the super baby post. There's no way I can catch up on 20+ pages a this point. Second, I let LO watch one Winnie the Pooh episode a day so I can get my own nap in. I use her naps to clean and for Me Time

I think my new MFM ob is adorable and I was thrilled when he agreed to take my case (Columbia has a screening and assignment process). I've always had a thing for dorky men!

he will be the first male doctor to investigate my lady bits!

I am trying to think of solutions to keep the masses of neighbourhood cats off my deck and yowling outside the girls windows. Sometimes is all night long. Is it wrong that the first solution was to turn on our sprinkler?

No flames here from me I let baby watch club house mickey while I doze for a minute or two. It some what educational but he is intrested and I like that.

Thank goodness! It is getting ridiculous, there are so many just roaming free ALL the time. Some of them look a little worse for wear.

This used to be me. I wish it was still me! But with an 11-year-old boy bringing friends in and out all the time, I've had to get better about it. I figure little boys probably don't pay attention to the mess. I just try to cover the boob as fast as I can when they bust through the front door! Never fails - they come in during feeding time!

No. It would be wrong if your first solution was arsenic. I say go for the sprinker.

Turning on the sprinklers is an okay short term solution! Could you maybe call animal control to help get them out of your neighborhood? I hate to think of doing that because of the fate they will eventually face. Sadly most shelters are already overcrowded. You could also post something about needing animal rescue on craigslist. You'd be surprised how many people are willing to foster and rescue animals.

I'm such a creeper. This is so vague so I went to your profile to see some of your responses/posts. The screen filed with posts in the damn SB thread so I closed out of that shit.

Vague? Why? Does an fffc like that need details? It was a general statement.

And I love SB thread. If you don't feel like catching up you don't have to. It's just random thoughts and discussions. Sometimes they get lengthy for example when I initiated the why not say black thing. Other times they're not.
I don't see how it pisses people off so much. There is no excluding people either

And fwiw I don't have a problem with somewhere being a nice place to chit chat or AW a baby pic. That's fine. But it's detrimental to our board community as a whole.

I never thought I would see the day where I was wishing for a bunch of separate AW pic threads

I'm really curious about what you think has changed - is it lack of snarkiness/good natured joking? I could see that. I used to laugh out loud at the deeply sarcastic stuff and it seems it's a lot more cheery lately. Is that what you mean? My FFFC is that every week I hope for drama in this thread and the UO. My life is pretty tame between working and taking care of babies that I'd love to read something interesting. I leave these posts disappointed that no one is doing anything particularly flameful.

Even though I haven't posted in the super baby or even read it in the last few days, I guess I'm confused as to why you feel like it's excluding people? It's not like there's an inside joke going on or anything. Everyone has just been using it as a catch all to share random thoughts, baby pics, comments on the weather, etc. It's not like anyone has said "don't come in clairefraser!" You don't even have to catch up on the thread, you can literally pop in, say something random and leave.

I know people are asking for it to die, and I can understand why if you aren't posting in it. I agree that the board has been a bit more boring since everyone is using that threat to AW, or post their random thoughts instead of posting a new thread, but give it time and it'll die off.

We actually do have an excellent animal rescue here, that fosters out cats. The problem is these cats seem to belong to people, albeit people that don't seem to give a crap about their pets.

I don't get why you'd stop posting just cause you don't like the mod. A mod should be impartial and take care of things when they need to be taken care of, but otherwise most things just sort themselves out.

If the mod doesn't remain impartial and shows favoritism, then they aren't a good mod and I would think the majority of the board would ask for them to be replaced. And if that's asked, then the mod in question should politely bow out.

Just my 2 cents worth, anyway ...

Here is my FFFC: My house is a complete mess. Like dishes from two days ago need washing, laundry everywhere, papers, etc. i actually had an anxiety attack last night that a murderer would come and kill us in our sleep and the police would see my house and think it was also a robbery.

DH has been working late and baby is only napping 60 minutes a day so I am getting nothing done. I suck as a SAHM.

I don't judge for letting them watch tv (well maybe a little) but I think you are deluding yourself if you say they are learning.

That would all be ideal, but there are some people on the mod nomination list that wouldn't behave that way, from what I've seen of their activity on the board up to this point.

I can see that. Hope no one feels that way about me. I know I've been bitchy a time of two, but I've apologized. I think that's about all anyone can ask is to admit when you've been a bitch, then move on.

3. FFFC- I bought several new pairs of undies at VS and I really wanted to wear some today, so I just pulled the tags off and put them on without washing.

I will grab my pistol when I'm home alone, regardless of the time. People like to break in during the day too! Also my dog has a big scary bark. I hate to love it cause sometimes it wakes the baby. But I'm thinking it probably wards off any potential intruders.
