Mommy Mythbusters!

TMI alert- One of my friends just posted on FB that her toddler got ahold of gum and ended up swallowing it.  The next day, guess what was in his diaper.... the wad of gum!  So there goes the myth that gum takes 7 years to digest!

What myths have been busted for you via motherhood?

  • Oh that is grossssss. That is however nice to know. I've eaten a few pieces in my day. I know. It is gross.
  • I thought that all babies took naps. I also thought babies slept in cribs. Like you brought the baby home, laid them in the crib and they would stay asleep. I know that may be true for some... but those babies are like unicorns or something.
I agree!  P has taken a total of two naps ever in the PNP.

Everybody told me that daycare will be good for Ben. They'll get him on a nap schedule and hell develop more quickly from watching the other kids.

Daycare is good for him. But he doesn't nap and he is taking his sweet time developing.

Actually, another group I'm a part of has 3 June DC babies and 4 June non DC babies. All of the non DC babies are walking. None of the DC babies are even crawling.

FWIW- I SAH with P and he's slow with gross motor stuff.  He literally just started sitting without support last week.  I'm sure B is just content taking life at his own pace :)
