Hi, I am due with baby #2 in a couple weeks. I had major trouble BFing DD, I used an SNS for a few weeks but my milk just never came in (I have PCOS). I just quit BFing cold turkey because I was so overwhelmed and never had any pain or discomfort, she was pretty much not getting any milk from me.
I am hoping things go better this time around! I have read about lactation cookies, does anyone have any experience with them? Do they help at all? Does anyone have any good recipes? If I make them and freeze them, do I freeze the dough or bake the cookies and then freeze them? Thanks for any help!
Re: Lactation cookies
I have frozen the dough and the baked cookies. They are delicious and they do help w supply.
I would suggest seeing an LC before you deliver to talk about what happened with you 1st LO to make a plan. Then see them again when baby is born. Also find a support group - that will be so helpful when baby is here.
You can do it. I couldn't nurse my first and EP for 6 months but am bf my 6 week old now. We've had challenges but have stuck w it and are getting a groove going.
GL!
