Just a regular appointment for me today at 10:45. Dreading it only because it's with the doctor I can't stand. The overweight man himself, who starts every appointment with "Well, a bit of a weight gain..." while shaking his head in disappointment. Yup, usually happens when you're pregnant, jackass. Ugh, I really don't like that man!
Update: Doctor said everything is great, always nice to hear. He wants me to start thinking about the possibility of inducing around 39 weeks (depending on the state of my cervix) because of my previous fast labor. With DD I got to the hospital fully dilated and the only thing holding her in was my water hadn't broken. She was born within 20 minutes of our arrival. With DS, my water broke first, so that's not really a guarantee. I REALLY don't want Pitocin or any medication, but he's got me a little worried now. I'll wait to talk to one of the other doctors in a couple weeks since I value their opinions a lot more. On the plus side, he surprisingly told me he was happy with my weight progress... so I celebrated with fries and a milkshake on the way home!
I have my monthly visit today at 2 pm PST. Starting appt every 2 weeks after this one. Last appt they were worried sbout my swelling and weight gain we will see what they say today.
Just back from my appointment...I passed my glucose test but evidently have low iron so got a prescription for that. Otherwise, everything looks to be on track. Moving to 2 week appointments now and have an ultrasound scheduled for April 23 to check on the kidney dilation they found during the anatomy survey at 20 weeks. Hopefully, it will be within the parameters they want to see at that time.
Hope everyone's appointments go well, and hoping that they are able to give you some answers today @emilyh107.
Had a regular ob check today, everything looks fine. I was a little annoyed that my doc said pregnant women can't start complaining until week 34.....hmmm I disagree!
@ugabamafans - I just glared at DH when she said it. I made sure he knows that if he tries to pull that shit with me that he will have hell to pay and it is his duty to not only listen to me bitch but also to assist me with whatever I need.
She is a woman and I don't know if she has kids but if she doesn't want to hear pregnant woman complain she is in the wrong profession. Also when she said this I hadn't complained about anything. She asked me how I felt and I said "pregnant". That was it, I didn't say it in a complainy way just simply said pregnant.
Had my 28 week and 1 hour glucose test today. They told me no news is good news so hoping to NOT hear from them tomorrow/Monday and I can assume that I passed. Everything else seems on track, going every 2 weeks from here on out and they said no more ultrasounds unless there's an issue and no more blood draws unless I fail glucose. Hate getting my blood drawn from the woman at their office, always hurts like a bitch, so I am thrilled.
Just a regular appt today at 32 weeks. Much better news then 2 weeks ago when my BP was 139/88, baby boys HR 169 and sugar in my pee! Today BP 126/82, baby HR 145 and no sugar in my pee!!!! And I finally gained less than my allowed weight/week and to top it off doc said I'm measuring "perfect"! :-) Yey! It's amazing how good news at the doctor can make your day! My little man is the most important thing to me! :-)
Had my regular 32w apt today. Everything looks good, measuring right on and bp is all good. He's head down. Except that I gained 5 lbs this month, so I got a bit of a slap on the wrist for that, but I knew I was off the wagon this month lol. Next appt is in 2 weeks! Time is just a flyin by
I asked a bunch of questions about to skin to skin and delayed cord clamping and was pleased to find out it's the standard procedure now to do these in uncomplicated births for as long as you want. Pretty happy about that.

Why did you get a slap on the wrist for gaining 5 pounds in a month?
I am also confused by all this weird pregnancy-weight shaming. Five pounds in a month, this far down the line, sounds totally reasonable to me. (Eek, stuck in the box!)
Yeah 5 lbs in a month seems totally normal since its supposed to be 1lb/week now, at least that's what my doc told me...so that's just one extra pound that could be due to the fact you just ate/drank & didn't poop yet and scales vary as well and also how much clothes you have on makes a difference...
@lizardbreath14 She more or less said 'well that's up, we need to keep an eye on that', I should have mentioned that I'm overweight to begin with, so we've been keeping close tabs on the weight gain. It's probably more me than her to be honest. Thanks for the concern
