Amnion and chorion not completely fused?!

Is what my dr told me at my appt today, they did an ultrasound at 14 weeks because of some bleeding I had. I had a stomach bug the night before I started bleeding so she thought maybe with the violent vomitting I had a small tear (abrupt up placenta) . Now she is saying this I now 16 weeks and she is sending me to a MFM dr so they can't get a better view and can consult me with genetic counseling. Since what she read was that this can be linked to downs. Anybody have any experience?!? TIA

    No experience.  Wishing you the best.  Also maybe try the high-risk board and see if you get an answer there.
