Update: Mr no-name is now Bear William O. New picture attached as well!
Well Mr. no-name came in with a bunch of drama! Here is his birth story.
Induced at 41 weeks, started with misoprostol & then pitocin. Plan was to do this pain medicine free.
2 doses of misoprostol & I went from 1 cm to 3 cm of dilation so pitocin was started. Managed to get to 6 cm rather quickly & with manageable pain. From 6 cm to fully dilated was a doozy, transition just sucked beyond anything I have ever experienced! However, I managed the contractions & got to the pushing stage without pain meds, by this point I had been in labor 26 hours. Pushing was excruitiating! I pushed for about 2-3 hours with poor results. Baby was in distress, was having heart rate decels & pooped meconium. Dr suggested an epidural so I could relax btwn contractions & see if baby could tolerate labor like that & come down on his own. Waiting for the epi was pure torture to not push during the contrx, but was the most amazing relief once it was in! The epi didn't help baby & it was decided to do a c-section to just get him out safely. I was super bummed since I had worked so hard, but in the end I just wanted a safe, healthy baby. Recovery is def a bitch at this point, got the swollen perineum & lady bits from pushing as well as the c-section stuff to deal with. So in love with my rainbow baby, hopefully he will have a name soon!
