Appointment gone L&D visit *update*

Went to my 36 week appointment earlier, turns out I had some contractions about 5 minutes apart and was dialated to barely one.. Doc sent me over here for observation. Now contractions are quite painful and much stronger and 2 minutes apart. And an hour later I'm dialated to two. So far we're gonna roll with it. I had my others healthy at 35 and 37 weeks.
UPDATE: after spending all night in the hospital I am now home. For now anyway. Stadol managed to slow it down enough to stop me from progressing anymore. I'm dialated to 4 and still having some contractions. Doc said he won't be surprised to see us back tonight but it could be another two weeks. I'm far enough along that I have no restrictions and considering my other babies were around this same time he is sure baby will be fine at this point and won't do anything at all to stop it but their policy is they can't do anything to help it start until 39 weeks.
