Yesterday I had just put LO down in his crib for a nap and heard him crying right after I left the room. I came back in to find him rolled face down in his swaddle against the side of the crib. No more swaddling for us I guess! He has not ever rolled back to front before so this came as a complete surprise. We are not ready to give it up though .. He does NOT sleep well without it. He is such a wiggler. I write this now at 5 am after the worst night of sleep we have had since 6 weeks old. Any suggestions for easing this transition? Anyone else have to do this abruptly? Did LO get used to it eventually? I am so worried that we will never sleep again.

Good luck, as of this week we are in the exact same boat
We just stopped swaddling as well. We used the Halo sleep sack with the swaddle around his body when we first put him down and he would sleep did a few hours just fine. But then had would wake up every 15-30 minutes. I eventually would give up and put his arms in. We did this for a few nights. Then we did one arm out for a few more nights. Then we just quit... I put him in a cotton sleep sack without the swaddle and he slept pretty well. We've been up every two hours for the last couple weeks but I think it might be the 4MW.
Good luck! It's not easy but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
