What you're doing to get KU: temping, opks, attempting to have sex

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: I think over half my chart is going to be open circles. Temping with a 10 month old is really fun.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: About a month, because it was a pain in my asshole.

What you're doing to get KU: Temping, checking cm/cp, drinking lots of water, and having all the sex.  Was planning to get prenatal vitamins but never got to it yesterday.  Maybe today???

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: Just waiting for O.  I'm optimistic that it will be soon.  DH wants all the sex once I hit the FW, so hoping we don't miss it.  Depending on CM we may just start tonight.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: Well, I'm a procrastinator, so I'm dragging my heels on this.  We got married almost 4 weeks ago.  I'm actually heading downtown today to pick up our certified marriage license (and multiple copies) so that I can officially change my last name.  I've changed it on FB, at work (email and Skype ID), and on my personal email.  I just have this feeling like I'm losing part of my identity changing my last name.  I've been part of the E family for 33 years and that is what I've grown to know.  I am now part of the B family and I'm not used to it.  Whenever someone says "Hi Mrs. B!" I immediately turn around thinking my MIL is behind me.  I have to get used to it.  DH wanted my last name changed WEEKS ago but knew that it would take time.  Once I get the certs I'm going to the bank and DMV.  I need a new license, that's for sure. Mine is due for renewal like last Monday and I forgot!  If I have enough time, I'm going to hit up PSE&G and SS.  I just hope I get enough certs to go around. :) Wish me luck.

What you're doing to get KU: green tea, less caffeine and temping for now. will start CM, CP, OPKs etc. later as the earliest I've ever O'ed was CD 16.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: finally temp dropped close to normal pre-O range. This is the point in my cycle when I'm complacent. I'm hopeful for a BFP, but not so much crush-my-dreams-if-it-doesn't-happen- hopeful.

GTKY: about a week after we got home from our 10 day honeymoon -- so 18 days? I did it all in one day. It was easy because I had all of my paperwork in one place ahead of time. I'm a planner and an organizer.

    BFP #1: 4/2/12 -- DD born 12/15/12. BFP #2: 4/1/14 -- CP. BFP #3: 4/28/14 -- EDD 1/10/15

What you're doing to get KU: injections

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: I had 6 follicles yesterday but only 7-5mm. So my dr upped my meds and I go back in the morning. The nurse said be prepared to have 300iu for wed night. I really hope I trigger this weekend this is getting really expensive. Grow follies grow.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: about a yr just because it's a pain in the ass.

What you're doing to get KU: starting POM at the moment

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc:nope, just ready for AF to leave...very cranky!

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: less than a month, I couldn't wait to change it!
  • Cycle/Month: 6

What you're doing to get KU:vitamins, being healthy, temping, started OPKs today, sex!

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: Nothing today, gearing up lots of sex, hoping to O on Saturday

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: I got most of it done right after we got back from our honeymoon. Only thing left is getting a new passport, I have to re-apply for an entirely new one, new picture and all. So I've been dragging my feet on that.

What you're doing to get KU: Temps, OPK's, sex.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: I got a + OPK yesterday afternoon!  I did another this AM and it was negative.  Hoping I see a spike tomorrow with my temps.  We're getting in more sex this cycle- for some strange reason, my sex drive is through the roof.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: It wasn't very long at all.  I don't actually remember, is that bad? It's been almost 10 years. I know I worked on all the paperwork pretty quickly... went to SS, DMV, etc.. within a few weeks.  The only think I delayed on was my passport because that was a PITA for me.  But I think it was all within a month.

CD: CD4 and my period has pretty much disappeared.  For the last two months, it's "stopped" for 2 days, then come back, so I'm not letting it trick me.

What you're doing to get KU: Sexy sexy sex, temping, OPK
I also take PNV, but I never include that here because I don't do it to get KU, it's just for after I do get KU.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc:  Not much.  DH and I will be out of state this weekend for a wedding, and I have a feeling my temping will be jacked up for 2-3 days. Hopefully not.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?:
     I didn't and I won't, unless a different decision is made later.

GTKY: I think I'm in the minority here in that we're not married. With no immediate plans to get married either, anyone else?

We've been together coming up on 4 years, it's a really solid relationship, it's just that neither of us is in a hurry or interested in a wedding. I'm sure we'll do a courthouse deal after the baby comes along but for now...meh. I know it diminishes people's view of our commitment, but luckily that has no effect on us.
I'm also planning on keeping my name when and if we do go for it. It's just a really cool name.

What you're doing to get KU: Started OPK's yesterday, have been HIO EOD but I think we're starting ED tonight (have O'd on CD 11 or 13 past cycles). Drinking lots of water, no caffeine, limited alcohol, FertileCM.

    Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: I just really want a baby.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: I did SS card, license, bank accounts, work etc. all within a month or so. I still haven't done my passport, just cause I'm being lazy with that one.

DH and I just got married in October 2013, but our wedding date was on our 12th dating anniversary.

I understand what you mean regarding how not being married affects how others see your relationship.

Now that we're married, people keep asking how married life is, which is a relatively normal/common question, I guess, but some seem to imply that we're somehow more committed. Sure, we're legally more committed, but we're really the same as we have been for most of our 12 years.

The last 4 four months have been a little different because we're TTC for the first time, but our 6 months of marriage hasn't changed us as much as others assume.  We've always been committed.

What you're doing to get KU: drinking mass amounts of water to try and increase CM, PNVs, sexy time EOD until I notice EWCM and/or +OPks then ED/2x daily if possible, no caffeine (don't drink it anyway), and continuing my health/exercise regimen. Also may use Preseed if I feel it's necessary.

    Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: None. Just waiting for O!

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: I changed it the weekend after we got back from our honeymoon which we took the week after we got married. It didn't take me long. I just needed to find the time to go to the SS office.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: just bummed that last cycle was not a bfp. Also anxious because I have this crazy fear that since I had a c-section with DS I won't be able to conceive again because there could be too much scar tissue or whatever <-- I truly have no reason to suspect this. It's just a crazy fear that I have.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: My alarm didn't go off this morning, so DH slept through his and woke up an hour late. His work has flexible hours, but it was still upsetting. Also, I didn't get a temperature because he woke me up, then I was helping him get ready quickly.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: 1 year. I literally changed it at the last place on our 1 year anniversary. It took so long because I am lazy and dislike waiting in line.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: No O yet! This is driving me crazy. For the past 6 cycles my latest 0 date was CD 21... I am a little anxious about this. And it is getting hard to have DH to finish in me. He is a "can I finish on your_____" kind of guy. And I feel bad telling him no, but I cant get pregnant through my boobs!
GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: I haven't changed mine yet. It is SO confusing, because I was previously married and didn't go back to my maiden name until a few months before my wedding, and that was just because I didn't want my ex's last name on my marriage certificate. So I am legally my maiden name, but never got my credit cards or anything changed over. Now I have to switch to my new last name, and it is just such an ordeal!

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: This is my fault, but with the west coast travel and (lots of ) drinking, my chart is a mess. All the discarded temps and open circles really annoying this type A girl.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long? I started the process shortly after we got back from our honeymoon and gradually changed everything. The passport took the longest, but a year later, I still find some things in my maiden name.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: NOthing yet. Too early. I am wondering how we feel about caffeine. I see a lot of people cut back on it, but I really like my coffee. So do we think this is super important?? I also see things about green tea and POM juice. Any thoughts???

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: I changed it fairly quickly. About a month after we got married. We had our honeymoon, and I had to wait to get our certificate in the mail. I have yet to change on everything though (bills).

I personally have found that POM has dramatically increased the amt of my EWCM the past few cycles. Even if it does "nothing" it's rich in antioxidants which is never a bad thing :)

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • @mahalo3‌ -- this is long, sorry in advance.

caffeine is a diuretic. It dries my CM significantly (I drink a lot of caffeine in any given day), so I am cutting back to one caffeinated green tea in the morning and the rest of the day it's decaf.

As far as CP goes, I started trying to chart it at the beginning of my cycle, just after my period. As my cycle progressed, I could feel it getting more distant. I consider low to be very easy to reach and high to be barely touched with my fingertips. It corresponds nearly perfectly to my +OPKS and EWCM. Anything else is medium.

I think FF describes firm as feeling like the tip of your nose. Soft is really spongy. Once again, anything in between is medium. HTH!

    Jan 15  NOV siggy challenge:

  • Cycle/Month: 4

    CD: 3

What you're doing to get KU: temping, charting

    Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: none

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: I think I did the official stuff pretty quickly. We've been married almost 2 years and I still have a charge card with my maiden name and I haven't changed my name on my passport. I havent used either of them since we got home from our honeymoon so I just never got around to changing them.

    Anniversary

We love our fur babies Luna (2013) and Dozer(2014)!

  • Cycle/Month: 3/3

    CD: 9

What you're doing to get KU: OPKs, PNV, temping, the usual

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks/Etc: I have never spotted this much in my life. I think it finally subsided today but still, blerg.

GTKY: When you got married, how long did it take you to "officially" change your last name? Why so long?: I've been married for over a year, and I still haven't. If/when I do, I won't drop my last name, I'll just add my husband's last name on to mine.
