Supplements for allergies

I am EBF and LO seems to be allergic to everything. In an effort to figure out what she is allergic to I have gone on Dr. Sears elimination diet. Since my diet is so restricted I am looking for a calcium supplement and a multivitamin to help supplement it. Unfortunately, I haven't had very much luck finding calcium or multivitamins that are free of everything I need them to be. Any advice? I need on that doesn't contain, Milk, soy, egg, wheat/gluten, nuts, peanuts and corn (the corn one is really hard to accomplish!) Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Supplements for allergies

  • I didn't go straight to TED. I gave up milk and soy when she was 2 months, eggs about 4 weeks later, wheat about 3 weeks after that and then nuts a few weeks after that. My next idea was corn but I didn't want to wait 4 more weeks just to take something else out if it didn't work. She is six months old and still has blood and mucas in her stool and is failure to thrive, so this is sort of my last ditch effort to figure out what it is. :(

  • We are, we have a whole team of specialist :) sadly, the nutritionist didn't know of one, I was pretty surprised! Luckily, she is healthy and happy otherwise, just miniature!
  • I've heard some people say they use a prenatal called Rainbow Light.  I haven't taken it and not sure if it's free of corn, but you could check it out.  I found it on Amazon here:  https://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-Light-Prenatal-Multivitamin-150-Count/dp/B00115BJ30/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_i

    Hope that helps!
