New baby And sibling question

I am new to this board. I have a boy who will be 4 in June and a 4 week old new baby girl. DS has seemed really great with the adjustment, he likes her and like to help, but it sort of indifferent and prefers to just play with his toys.

However, in the last week or so, he has been going off by himself into his bedroom when he needs to poop, instead of telling us and going to the toilet. He has been potty trained since last march and has never had an issue. He has already gone twice in his underpants. He also is "scared" in his room at night all of a sudden.

Is this just his way of looking for more attention? We have been working hard to keep him involved but it's difficult to have a lot of oneonone time while DH is at work and this baby requires constant attention. Any advice? It makes me sad to think of him feeling bad about this new situation, but I know it will get easier and we will find a new normal.
