    No refund. We owe (not much). I actually prefer not receiving a refund.

    We owed federal and got a refund from state (or vice versa?) so we netted $200-some. We had to replace the electrical panel for our house, so it only covered about 1/3 of that. Ugh. Still trying to see the bright side - minimal free loan we gave the government this year. ;)

    I'm self-employed but took off a few months when I had a baby in September and DH changed jobs early last year so we didn't plan our withholding very well. We got about $1,800 back. We have been seriously considering a Caribbean getaway for just the two of us in September and I think this refund money sealed the deal.
