@superspecialsnowflake I would have pulled over and helped. I did it once to save a turtle that was flipped on its back in the middle of the road. I admit I have issues. I mean an expressway or interstate road no but a regular one even a busy one. Yes. But I agree while pregnant it was probably best to keep moving. I would have cried too.
I made DF save a turtle in the pouring rain on a busy road last august. I was crying about its family and what if it has babies and mommy never comes home. Very, very ugly tears that day!
I get being tired but I think people should make an effort for sex. The first year we had DD was rough on our marriage, one of the things was lack of sex. Husbands who wake their wives up should not be rewarded but other than that I think ladies should try. My husband is much more helpful and in a way better mood when his sexual needs are taken care of.
I'm so guilty of this and I need to get better. Ben is finally sleeping well so being tired isn't really an excuse I'm just having a really hard time getting in sexy-mode from mommy-mode.
It's really time for you to update your avatar lol
My FFFC - I prop my kid's bottle up to feed him sometimes, and I let him watch television with me. He particularly likes Giada and Top Gear. Yep, lazy mom right here.
I don't know if any of these even count but these are what are in my head so here goes:
I think I was mean to someone today and I give no fucks......I just don't. Not today. I will probably most likely feel bad about it tomorrow though.
Whenever I get mad at my DH I throw all his laundry in a separate pile and refuse to wash it knowing full well how hard he struggles to do this task on his own. (Hangs head in shame).

Yup, done it before. Honestly if I didn't, my 3-year old would never eat.

Add me to this list too. I know need to put in more effort. I'm just not in the mood. Maybe tonight I'll muster up some energy!

Top Gear is totally baby appropriate television. I mean, they show where Burma is and go exploring, and build a bridge...lol

Also, he'll learn all the British swear words which probably won't get him in trouble at school. Also, he'll know all sorts of stuff about cars, which will make him a cool kid.
FFFC1: My daughter is nearly 4 months old and I still have moments where I'm like, "Holy Crap, I'm a mom? WTF? I have a baby? What?" It's still kind of surreal.
FFFC2: In the next week or two, I may engage in a physical altercation with a goose. One of the campuses I work at has a pond with some seriously territorial geese this time of year (-the males protect their females and their nests). We get memos every year on how to not provoke the geese and how to handle a goose attack. One particularly large goose has been hanging out near my parking spot and hisses at me and my car every morning when I try to park and walk in the building. It's getting pretty ballsy, and to be honest, I'm in no mood for it at 7:30 in the morning. One of these days I swear I'm going to just go ape on that thing. It needs a good ass kicking.
I think it's still surreal, too.
Last night, I had just finished nursing and he's just looking up at me and I started crying. Like, ugly crying, because I love this kid so much and holy crap we are so lucky. This is not my usual MO. Needless to say, DS had no idea what to make of this display, and I had to throw in some smiles to reassure him that Mommy wasn't totally losing it.
@SSS - I got in a fight with a duck once. I kicked that fuckers ass. It charged me when I was out running and without even thinking I kicked it in the chest. It still weirds me out that that was my instinct instead of, say, continuing to run around it.
LoL, the thing is, I actually like geese (and ducks!) and I know that if I did actually punt that mofo across the parking lot that I would immediately feel bad about it, and hope that I didn't actually hurt it. So conflicted!
Was the duck okay?
I hope so? I kicked it all the way off the path and back to its nest in the grass. It grunted after I kicked it. I don't think ducks are supposed to grunt. All the guilt is coming back.
I am sitting here with tears in my eyes...from laughing. I hate all bird like things.

updated my avatar, its not showing up yet for some reason though
Yesterday I had a talk with H about how I need more help around the house. He is notorious for saying he will do something and then "forgetting" or saying he needed alone time.
Well, today DD is finally sleeping in her RnP for a nap. Instead of doing my part of the chores I took a shower, did my hair, and am now bumping and playing Halo.
My pants have these dumb things on the butt pockets...Somehow they got folded up. Everytime I scoot to a different position in my chair, it sounds like I'm farting.

I can't tell you how many times being huge Top Gear fans has come in handy. Seriously, if you or someone you know plans on traveling abroad, study up; this is prime pub conversation fodder. I also sometimes know stuff about cars now. It has lots of things kids like, too: fancy cars and adults falling down.

I've done this same thing while nursing!! Not in a little while but it has def happened several times.

Are we talking British Top Gear or American? Because British Top Gear is the only one worth watching.
My fffc: I was actually hoping for the Superbaby lady to post a video and prove herself, or, at the very least, I was hoping for the thread to swing back around to strong-ass babies. Because...I, too, think that I have a strong-ass baby. I think it's more of a liability than a superpower at this point, but dude is already scooting across the floor pretty aggressively and he's not quite 15 weeks
Ancillary confession: I think posting personal YouTube videos is pretty scary, and I'm not sure I would have done it if I was her. Way scarier than a lot of the internet scares that get discussed around here, including the one where everyone realized their Bump stuff is google-able. YouTube posting is some next-level shit imo.

I really don't think youtube is any more out there on the internet than anything else. What about youtube make you think its next level stuff?
I just think it's so cross-platform and has the capacity to be flamed on way broader scale than anything else shared on this board.
By making a publicly viewable YouTube video, you're publishing your baby video for all of the internets, not just here. So, if somebody thought the video was OMG stupid, they could and would share it with all of their other internet circles times infinity. Plus YouTube comments. Ugh. Worst of the internet.
I'm not saying that WOULD happen, I'm just saying that I think the potential of it causing outside internet drama is real. That's all.

The boards are also viewable without logging in. They cannot comment unless they register/login, but they are viewable.

True, but they're not as easily shareable. Sure, you can link someone a URL of a discussion, but I don't imagine said discussion making the rounds on Facebook.
I'm probably being nuts. It's been known to happen!

Lol it's all good. I was just trying to figure out your line of thinking. Especially since I'm super bored at work.
And you forgot people can take screen shots and share them as photos. :P
Pitty Party FFFC: Even though I've been pretty active on the board for a few months, I still feel like an outsider since I wasn't around after first tri. I'm jealous of the relationships that were established and feel like its too late for me to get back in.
I feel this way too because although I've been around since the beginning, I don't post very much at all.
FC-I enjoy pumping at work because I can skip out early on meetings and get work done on my computer. I also got extra break last week during state testing. Testing days are the most boring days ever!!
I have one today.
I was selfishly very happy to have a c-section. I was/am terrified of the pushing process.
I've had lots of surgeries, so I was way less worried about recovery from surgery than a vaginal delivery.
As someone that's had an appendectomy, I can tell you that the vaginal delivery was a lot easier to recover from than the laparoscopic surgery.
i hate my post baby body but still cant stop eating all the goodie snacks around the house when im bored, i secretly love sleeping in lo room on the little twin bed, i get more sleep and dont have to hear DH snoring, also morning cuddles with LO are fun...

That's me too! I'm getting in a better mental place with it, but for some reason I have just been not able to separate one from the other. Like I feel like I have to always been in mommy mode if she needs me for any reason. Plus the lube and condoms aren't really appealing in themselves. But I'm ready to get back in the groove with DH, I think it's healthy and something that is noticeably lacking. Never in a million years thought I would have that issue. Weird.

New reg, old reg, newb, I don't care who you are, I ain't gonna read a novel from anyone.
