Because I am a FTM and seemingly clueless some days...I don't understand how ladies pregnant with multiples can differentiate between Baby A and Baby B and who is moving in what way?? :-/
ETA: smileys are difficult on mobile
While they move some they don't shift around that much. My baby A has been on my right side from week 16 and baby B on my left. Sometimes baby B moves in front of baby A a bit but I am still pretty sure when I feel kicks who it is.
I fear this kid will never have a name. I love tons of boy names but DH hates them all. Ugh. Maybe I'll name him Baby NOLA. ::sighs::
I'm right there with you. DH and I cannot agree on a girls name to save our life. We actually had it down to 2 and then my DH decided that neither was right and now we are back to square one.
My husband and I decided on Spencer's name after deliberating for several hours straight, and then DH added that if he didn't "look" like a Spencer when he was born, we'd have to find something different... Way to make me worry. But then his mom bought a piggy bank with Spencer engraved on it, so now DH feels like the name is stuck, lol. Thank you, thank you, thank you for my MIL.
Add me to the "no name baby" club @nola 1017 @helloblueeyes I've got a list of 7 names (narrowed down from 13) that we're going through.
We have a name that we've had picked out since we were dating because we are weirdos, but I'm a little worried she's going to come out and the name won't fit. Not the worst thing in the world if you don't have a name yet... You can try some out when he/she is here! :-)
I wish you would get notified when someone quotes you. I feel like I'm being ignored when I see someone respond to everyone else but me.
I thought it did this? I sometimes get notifications when someone quotes me, even in a long trail of quotes.
I often still tag people when I quote them to make sure they still see it. I wish it always notified you because I miss things too. Especially when I get off a plane and a thread has 50+ new responses :-o
what is it about old video games? I still buy new ps3 games occasionally, but lately I'm playing a 5 year old game from a very popular series and I just can't get enough of it.

I sat next to a woman and her baby on a plane once. She left the baby with me while she peed. I had no experience with babies, but I guess she figured I couldn't go anywhere

I have original NES games like Punch Out, Super Mario Bros, and Zelda on my Wii that I play occasionally. I don't play any more Wii games at all. I also have an NES emulator on my laptop so I can play RC Pro AM. I wish I still had something to N64 Mario Kart with...
right now I'm playing Battlefield 1943 whenever I can. not that I wouldn't love to have Battlefield 4 right now, but all of these just feel so much more fun.
going WAAAY back... I was at my mom's house last week and I saw my dad's Intellivision from 1979. I wish that thing was still working.

I just feel so happy right now. We get the keys to our first house a week from today (knock wood, if all goes as planned with signing the docs!) we got our tax refund today, and I finally feel like I've gotten the hang of my new job...and it's awesome. This message was brought to you by the special snowflake association of America. Now back to your regularly scheduled snarking.
So, in addition to wanting to hold the babies of strangers... My mom just bought me a stroller and then had to go to work and I'm just sitting here with it. I really want to find a baby to push around in it. It's ok to have these feelings when I'm actually pregnant right? I think the chances of me stealing a baby are fairly low, because if I just wait a little under 3 months I'll have my own! ;-)

I had a lady hand me her days old baby while we were boarding a plane once. She was traveling alone and obviously very overwhelmed. I was so scared I was gonna break that baby, I couldn't move a muscle.

There is this awesome bar where I lived you could go to and play any video game to man. I use to love going to play the original Nintendo.
I think I had my first hormonal freak out today. Apparently for the past several days at work I've been parking in someone else's parking spot. (Despite there being no assigned parking at work, and as a matter-of-fact, there aren't even any lines painted at all in the lot)
Instead of coming to me and telling me this herself, she has just been bitching that I've been parking in her spot to everyone else at work.
Another employee came to me and said this person thought I was "trying to stir shit up" even though I was completely unaware that it was "her spot". She often gets dropped off at work, and I'm not even sure what sort of vehicle she drives .
I must have cried for an hour at work today. Urrrrghhhhhh.

I just came back inside from a freak out moment. My DH is cleaning out a shed in our back yard. I went out to talk to him and while talking he moved a pool noodle and a MOUSE ran out of it at me!!!!! I screamed so loud and must've jumped like 4 feet in the air, which I must say is pretty good for this 26 week pregnant gal. We both laughed pretty hard afterwards, but it was pretty scary to me in the moment. Guess I won't be bugging him while he cleans the shed anymore. Haha
I don't know why everytime I walk my dog or out the door, people have to stare at me like they just saw Shamu. I mean I'm obviously pregnant and yes I'm showing but I'm not super huge lady.

Hopefully your baby can still hear!! ;-)
I think I would have simultaneously had a heart attack and peed myself! Good work for just screaming!

Thanks! Yea, I hope she can too! I was pretty thankful I had an empty bladder, otherwise the story might have ended with a change of clothing
Idk if anybody here is into basketball, but I'm a Mercer alum and we're pretty damn proud of beating Duke in the NCAA Tournament, especially since this is the first time we've even made it to the tournament since 1985.
Well we may not have gone much further, but the college basketball world now knows who we are AND we're famous for Kevin Canevari's amazing white boy rendition of the Nae Nae as his celebration dance. SO famous that this happened:

I went to Carolina so we hate Duke. We were pretty happy Mercer beat Duke too. So much so that students and alumni are buying Mercer shirts.

Is anyone else already saying curse words in their head every time they stand up? I feel generally pain free sleeping, sitting, or walking, but every time I stand up I feel like I need a walker for the first several steps. I feel like my legs might detach from my body, and like I've been kicked hard in my lady parts. Oww.

Haha, I curse out loud unless my kids are around. Almost every day I say "ah fuck" after standing up.

Nailed it! That's exactly what I think! I usually manage to keep it just in my head but sometimes I say it out loud too ;-)

Not necessarily from standing up, but I am losing my filter in general, which is bad because I teach preschool! So far I manage to at least cover my face and mumble things quiet enough that they can't hear. Honestly though, even if I did let something slip, it wouldn't be anything they don't hear their parents say on a regular basis, sometimes AT THE SCHOOL. It's a rough side of town....
OHMYGAWDYALL - I just felt lightening crotch for the first time and it's just as awful as you all said. Ugh. Bean needs to move away from mommy's cervix. That's not okay at all.
I was about to post about something dumb I did in prep for making bday presents, but then realized dlsexton might read about it and one of the presents is for her DD...
A lady at school today told me that she thinks I'm finally growing wider, instead of just straight out. And apparently since I'm having a girl she's been waiting for me to grow wider. She even touched my side - "yeah, you're definitely getting wider!"
What the? "Yeah, I think you're getting wider too!"

Re: Random thread- for all things random.
Of course it could all just be in my head!
It smells like donuts in our office safe room. I don't like going in there because now I want donuts.
Oh and this might be on of my favorite gifs....

OMG that is the best thing I've ever heard! It seems like everyone who is not a Duke student, alum, or faculty hates Duke.
What the? "Yeah, I think you're getting wider too!"
